White BBQ sauce only exists so fat Alabamians can feel better about eating more mayonnaise. 
(I'm mostly kidding... it's not terrible. But it's definitely the worst BBQ sauce.)

I don't generally go for mustard based, but it's okay. For instance if I'm eating a BBQ sandwich I don't mind squirting some on it, but I don't like it drowning/coated in mustard based sauce. My favorite is definitely vinegar based.

A good, a bit spicy, white sauce on turkey or chicken can hit the spot at times.
A good fatty brisket in a bun, with minimum sauce, can be dang good too.
I have eaten a fairly good vinegar-based bbq (w/slaw) in Charlotte before.
There is a time and place for everything.

It's actually gained some traction in Georgia.I thought it was gonna be pretty disgusting but it's actually not too bad.

Texas BBQ is crap. Mustard is just fine on PORK, but not of beef. Yuck.

Some of the best BBQ I've had is South Carolina-style...my personal favorite is Eastern North Carolina-style (chopped w/vinegar-pepper sauce).
