I don’t know man, but all things being equal someone would have to be a complete lunatic to choose a weekend trip to College Station over Austin. No one would make that choice, right?

Depends. A college football weekend? College Station. Hands down. I love CBF, hanging with other CFB fans, and tailgating. Lots of activity all over CS centered around gameday. Gameday in Austin sucks arse. No tailgating. Everything corperate feeling.

No football involved? Austin, but not downtown. Hit up all the breweries and pubs littered around the suburbs, and get out on the hiking and biking trails during the days.

Austin still has its good sides, but downtown and the bar scene ain't it anymore.

Would agree with this. Tailgating in Austin sucks but the city has some pretty interesting places to go out and explore. For tailgating, College Station has a good atmosphere but the town leaves a lot to be desired.

Y’all just don’t know how bad these homeless camps got in Austin. It was like the fricking Third World at every underpass with tents and porta potties and water jugs and trash and shopping carts and random stolen things. The city has been forced to begin to clean it all up but during COVID it felt like a refugee city.

I was glad to live in Williamson County the last year because our power hungry sheriffs stop that at the county line. I know a friend who moved out of South Austin elsewhere in the city to get away from it.

I mean he worked his arse off from humble roots and got into med school after being my roommate at A&M (I am not a good influence). Then he became a successful enough doctor that he can move from a 1.2 million dollar home to a 2 million dollar one with this amazing infinity pool in the back and two Tesla’s (S and X) in the garage.

I call that shite the American Dream, but you call it whatever you want.

Whatever. Sounds like he should be downsizing and offering to pay some people's rent.

Yep. These straight white males don't even realize that their position of power in society is why they're able to turn hard work into money. These people would never let a M2F have the same opportunities as them as they would never hire one.

Yup. I'm glad ESPN is monopolizing college football. That means the hillbillies can't turn to another channel if they want to escape the social justice messages ESPN is going to play at them.

And then with ESPN moving us into the south we get our chance to enrich their culture.
