I'm not saying this to crap all over the move. I've warmed up to it. I just think it's true that this is going to get real ugly and real expensive.

that he has documented evidence that ESPN tried to encourage an unnamed conference to add Big 12 members in an effort to destabilize the league so Texas & OU could avoid exit fees.
"It is tortious interference," he says.

Bowlsby: "It causes me to further suspect they (ESPN) had their hands all over the Texas and Oklahoma move to the SEC. They were was deceptive as you can possibly be. There are right and wrong ways to these things. They sought to deceive us from the very beginning."

Worst case scenario for Disney:
The media will spin it and it will go away from public view. Then they settle for a 1/4 at most because they just drag it out in court.

1. If he actually had evidence, he's keep his mouth shut right now and file suit before tipping anyone off.
2. Tortious interference is HARD to prove. They better have damn good evidence if they do actually file suit (They won't. This is a publicity stunt)

The Big 12 are 10 schools.
The Big 12 have schools actively looking elsewhere.
UT, OU and say WVU, Kansas, Iowa St and Oklahoma St all have or will likely have new homes soon. That's over half the XII.
There's no one left to pursue litigation.
Those 6 could fire Bowlsby tomorrow.

I'm sure some of these schools have made investments on both athletic and non-athletic facilities anticipating the television income all the schools agreed to. It's like having a business partner suddenly bail on you for a better offer after he has signed loans and contracts with you to banks and third parties.
I feel bad for them.

Don't worry, the lawyers are taking care of it. All you have to worry about is being mentally prepared for the beatdown at DKR really soon.

The “evidence” they have involves the AAC not OU and Texas…and I bet it doesn’t amount to anything. Bowlsby is just trying to justify his existence.

That's business mf'ers. Why do they conferences think their business should be any different? Get a better offer? Leave sinkin' ship. They did nothing to build their conference or brand. Let Texas dictate everything and run over them and are shocked that they are riding south into the sunset and MONEY!!!!!
