I think they really hated us getting to a championship level during the 2010-2013 cycle. But honestly relations between the fanbases are probably better than before that stretch. Auburn accepts Alabama is in rarified elite air for the time being and Alabama appears to give Auburn credit for being a bigger challenge than anyone else during their reign.

It's not really a troll but just an observation of hypocrisy

Well see, there were rules against that sort of thing in 2010. There are not rules in place against it in 2021. Let me know if we need to explain this further.*

* Not arguing against the "Cam Newton Was Paid" stuff, just noting that Cam Newton in 2010 and Bryce Young in 2021 are working within entirely different frameworks.

It is an uneasy peace. I also thing Georgia becoming what they currently are has shifted a lot of the Auburn hate away from us to them.

Auburn sees Alabama and hates us but begrudgingly accepts us as legitimately elite, as they have for decades. As noted, Alabama has basically admitted that Auburn is the biggest thorn in our side. Auburn sees Georgia as posers and relentlessly tries to remind them of that.

Athletes should always have been able to be paid. Auburn was always ahead of the curve. Doing what was morally right. . I could go a lot deeper for a comparison but I wont.

I like how the media wants LSU to be Alabama’s main rival when Auburn has been more successful than them since 2010 and Alabama hates Tennessee with the fury of a thousand angry gods.

I guess you don't understand the difference between legal and moral.
