I could see OU doing decent though obliviously they won’t be winning the conference every year like the have in the past. Texas will become the Tennessee of the west for a few extra dollars.

If they end up joining the league, I could see both teams having a hard time, but OU would do much better. The whorns will take a much longer time.

Overall, I just can't even imagine how pissed they are that this got leaked. If they end up getting barred from joining the SEC, especially by A&M if A&M is able to whip the votes, they will just look like complete clowns in their own dumpster fire of a conference.

I hope the SEC deal works out. But it something happens, I guess our football program will just just give up and call it a day.

It would be hilarious as the "Longhorn Network" would fold like a losing poker hand. shite will never happen and OU will never join due to SEC competition. OU has it made in the B12.

Idk why y'all act like these two teams would struggle. Lol Mizzou came in and won the East off the rip and A&M beat Bama within the first two years. Both limp dicked it in the Big 12 forever.

This conference is primarily ran by 4 teams Bama, LSU, Florida and Georgia. It humors me when the other schools puff their chest out. Coat tail riders

I believe your two assertions somehow contradict each other.

It might just blow up in anyone’s face that favors true conference play and not just more a move to more divisional focus within SEC becoming de facto mini-conferences.

That is a risk LSU will taking if it approves especially the approving Texas part. It will become a part of the “SWC” division. SEC already tried to push a fake rivalry game with Arkansas with the Boot or whatever it is. LSU & A&M had more history before we quit playing each other in the 90s, and after A&M joined the league it felt more like a rivalry than Ark. It’s still not the same at least yet as other true rivalries.

Now with Texas / A&M restarting, Texas / OU continuing, and possible Auburn and Alabama moves to the east along with losing Florida as permanent opponent it’s back to pushing LSU Arkansas as a rivalry and a Thanksgiving weekend game.

You think they gaf about winning? The $ the University & the State will make off this is beyond my calculator. UT & the State of Texas are attached at the hip.

Texas has a decent year (considering the competition) every 5 years or so. In the SEC, especially the west, they are going to miss those glory days.

Mizzou went to Atlanta twice in our first four years…I’d say it’s not unrealistic to think OU or UT make it sooner than later

No it’s called typing with one hand in a small box on the mobile version of this site. Get over it.

Texas and A&M fans are both insufferable just for different reasons.

At one time being in Austin was a big recruiting plus. Not any more. Teens dont want to go to a depressing place with homeless camping and shitting in the parks.

UT Austin is landlocked. A&M has immensely more real estate to grow. longhorns are now the permanent little brother.
