Looking at the top 10 TV ratings games over the last few years very few Texas games. It's the SEC, Ohio State and Notre Dame.
Texas just wants to use the SEC.

Says the ole miss fan? Texas is definitely a National Brand

Texas hasn’t played anyone worth a shite besides OU and was lukewarm cream of wheat under Tom Herman. Their most watched game was probably when LSU rolled in and took their manhood

If the are a top national brand why does nobody watch them.

Neither is Ole Miss but here you are.

What in the hell are you smoking?
Their perch atop the revenue rankings of athletic programs every year by a very large margin would indicate you are dead wrong.

Did not say Ole Miss was evidence points that Texas is not.

You consistently put OU and UT on tv vs SEC teams it would be night and day. And FSSW coverage blows.

But expansion is going to happen. And who realistically brings more TV eyes?

According to SNL Kagan, a media research company, Longhorn Network has lost $48 million in its first five years of operation. ... According to the San Antonio Express-News, ESPN signed a 20-year, $295 million contract, and also agreed to “absorb LHN production costs pegged at an estimated $26 million a year.”

Point is dummy no stats back up Texas being this elite program.

But once again - at some point expansion is going to happen and Texas and OU are by far the most attractive realistic options.

I would say we’ve been doing just fine with marketing and licensing to the point that we’ve been at the top of the revenue list every year lol
Texas was in 2 of the 9 most watched regular season games in 2019. It was LSU’s highest rated game sans LSU vs. Alabama. SEC was only 4 of the top 10 most watched regular season games in 2020, too. So it’s not like it’s them and nobody else

Just because they botched the financials of LHN does not negate the fact that their fanbase is massive and sends the school sums of money every other school in this country would kill for.
They are a revenue machine the likes of which no other school comes close.
