Does the vote have to be 11-3

As mentioned in another thread I would think A&M, Mizzou, & Mayb Arkansas are NOs. So if your Sankey or a YES AD trying to convince the maybe/maybe not voters? Do you just show them the potential TV deal?

Aggies and Mizzou are voting no.
UF, UGA and SC not sure on.
Everyone else a Yes.

There are 14 teams.
You need at least 3/4.
You would need 11 "yes" votes.
Only 4 teams would need to ban together to prevent it.

I would wager these will be the NO's:
Mizzou
Aggies
Florida
Arkansas
Mizzou
Aggies
Florida
Arkansas

It’s not happening. A&M, Alabama, Arkansas and Missouri are nays
No matter how much LSU fans are praying for it to happen

The footprint barely changes. I doubt the SEC deal changes much at all.
The SEC is already going to get the most massive deal for T1 right once the CBS deal is up.

In the past UF, UGA, Kentucky and SC formed a coalition to block adding in-state schools. I am 100% sure Aggie doesn’t want Texas in.
If the old guard sticks to their policy of not adding in-state schools Texas is out. There will be at least 5 no votes. Or Sankey would need to do a whole lot of arm twisting.

I doubt Alabama cares. The schools that have a possible non-SEC power in their state would care
USCe, Florida, etc

You might add South Carolina and Georgia. Georgia Tech and Clemson will be knocking on that door too.

The amount of giddiness/cucking being done by LSU fans for Texas since this news broke is...strange...and also sad.

A&M and Mizzou will never be yes votes. So they are starting 2 votes down right now. Doesn’t leave a big margin for error after that. A&M has money so they aren’t worried about lucrative tv deals if it means dealing with Texas again.

The GOR does not end for the Big 12 until 2025. Earliest this could possibly happen is 2026. You guys are getting all worked up and jacking each other off....over nothing. Lolololol

Shite, the delta, lambda, alpha chi and tridelta variants will take us all out before then.

I agree. Texas and Oklahoma may end up bolting the BIG 12 but it won't be for some time to come.
Personally, I don't see Texas ever being in the SEC. I think they end up in the PAC if that time comes. They fit better with those freaks out west.
I think the Sooners end up with the SEC, when their time comes.

Well if the 2 biggest teams bail out of a league that one thing. But if this starts a huge realignment run and most of the Big 12 leaves and find new homes then that could change some things because the league would basically be defunct in a few year anyway why hold teams if they want out and might could even settle with the Big 12 for an early exist. Because some of the Big 12 teams have plenty of big oil money that might change that.

A&M, Mizzou are definite "No's." Arkansas left the SWC a long time due to Texas and their policies. I'm not sure the votes are there, regardless. That is before the alleged voting block.
Then there are the politics. OU is tied to OkSU at the hip, and Texas has to deal with all of the other state schools. That would be the death knell for the BDF, and those schools will do whatever they have to in order to remain relevant
