What's the scoop on him, Dawgs? Looks like he shirted in 20 and barely pitched out of the pen last year.

He’s got a live arm. Seem to remember him hitting mid 90’s but he barely pitched this year so really don’t know all that much about him. I imagine he had some control issues and that’s why he pitched so little

He's got a terrific arm. I hope he gets a chance with you guys. He couldn't get on the field at state because of pitching depth we have.

Both of those sound really promising. I didn't have high hopes based on his lack of track record and not being a super high-level recruit.

Hard thrower had control problems. Didn’t make the travel roster and seemed to have been unhappy in his role with the team. Most of his pitching was in midweek games.

6 app midweek games, 23 IP, 6.86 era, live arm with control issues. Didn't make CWS roster.

He likely will. We have a lot of holes. Childres was a dead man walking last year so the roster really wasn't up to par. Plus Childress got by on development, not elite recruiting.
Looked into this kid more. He's doing well in Cape this summer. Read on TexAgs someone's cousin was a bullpen catcher at State and said this kid gets into 95-98 range. If that's the case Yeskie is going to have to teach him how to pitch. Could be a value bullpen piece eventually.

I think he is definitely talented, just got buried on a very deep pitching staff and then had some injury issues as well. There was a point early in the season where I thought he could be a contributor out of the bullpen, but it didn't happen, and he didn't pitch again after a midweek game on March 24th.

It’s sinking not shrinking.
And yea just won a natty, our program is in dire straits. This is a case of a guy with potential transferring due to too much competition. He probably sees what is coming back after the draft is mostly done and decided he won’t get much playing time
