Mine are probably:

2. 2011 Alabama
3. 2010 Auburn

The team that had only 4 players drafted and won 7 games by one possession (5 games by 3 points or less) is the 3rd best team you've ever seen?

I know the 2012 team lost to A&M, so maybe that knocks it out, but it was one of the best if not the best team I’ve seen (I’m young, so I didn’t watch Nebraska)

For the sake of argument, I would like like to throw in the 1994 Penn State and 2000 Miami Hurricanes into the mix even though they weren't champions.

The 2000 Canes were flat out filthy.

1. Most dominant: 1995 Huskers
2. Greatest season: 2019 LSU
3. Greatest TEAM: 2020 Bama

Not necessarily in that order

You had a team declare themselves a
National Champion and they're not on
your list ?

I'd vote 2016 Bama as the best UA team that didn't win a NC

The answer to this is easy:

1941 Mississippi State football
2014 Mississippi State football (through first seven games)
2021 Mississippi State baseball

As an Auburn homer, I don't think I'd put 2010 AU in a top 3. On paper it just wasn't as dominant as some other teams vying for those spots.

The next part is harder to explain, but...

That said, let's say I ranked 2010 AU 10th or something, I could nonetheless see a Cam-led 2010 team beating most of the teams ranked above them. And not in a remote, "on their very best day" way (which presumably applies to most schools on the list). He was simply that dominant of a player and had the ability to take over and "refuse to lose."

The same concept would be true of the other elite of elite all time athletes in CFB, Herschel, Bo, Tebow, etc.

That was very well said. Cam could take that mediocre to average team and beat any team with far better talent. Hell he did it 13 times that year lol.

As far as overall team talent, 2010 AU isnt even the best AU team of this century. 2004 AU had a far better overall team, but I would bet on Cam if those two squared off.
