All he does is underachieve. I know its not his fault that the pop-up wasn't caught, but that juju seems to follow him around everywhere.

he couldn't even make it to Omaha this year with what some could consider one of the best teams in recent SEC history. he embarrassed the SEC big time this year by choking AT Baum. he has proven he can not coach in pressure games or post season play. why would a program want him?

Haha! Funny. What I remember about LSU under Bertman is they would have some hobbled motherfricker step up in a pressured situation and they would execute. They would beat that pitcher. I'm an Auburn alum and I'd make sure to watch LSU CWS games.

DVH has taken Nebraska and Arkansas to Omaha. We are a small population state and the fact we are as competitive as we are in sports is a testament to our coaches and the commitment by our fans and administration.
Heck, we could easily be as irrelevant as a school like, let's say utah,but we care enough to strive to do better.
Does utah even have a baseball program? Do they have any sports?

2004 CWS team, overachieved.
2009 CWS team, overachieved after a losing conference record.
2012 CWS team played decent in conference but upset national seed Baylor in the super and was one game away from making the CWS finals. Still could be said that Dave did better than expected.
2015 CWS team, overachieved with lack of pitching depth.
2018 CWS team, met expectations.
2019 CWS team, met expectations.
Right after the 2017 season, recruiting started to take off and Arkansas is now starting to make the CWS just a bout each year.

The baseball talent in Arkansas has exploded since DVH has been here.
Some of the best players in the last several years are from Arkansas. Last year, Arkansas had more native born than out of state.
