so since Arkansas is your favorite team; and you didn’t even know the rarity of what all they accomplished this year; then I should be the one assuming that this is your first year to ever watch college baseball.
Yalls team this year, despite getting sent home packing in the supers; was still arguably one of Arkansas’ most successful seasons in recent history.
The 2018 team that choked in the CWS finals; may have been more talented than this years team; but even they didn’t dominate the SEC like Arkansas did this year.
You have to be blinded by anger and bitterness; to try and argue that this 2021 team wasn’t one of the most successful teams in recent Arkansas history.

Yep, we had a good year, but I understand how baseball can work. Notice there are no undefeated teams?

Please, I beg of you; to name more than 2 other teams that did what Arkansas did this year in the SEC.
Here I’ll help you out;
I’ll name one; Vandy. 2019.
Before 2019 vandy; you have to go back 12 years to find the next team that almost did what Arkansas did this year. That was 2009 lsu and even they shared a regular season title with Ole Miss that year.

Yeah he has shown that he can coach teams to historic regular seasons. But it’s jsut my opinion; I realize others opinion may differ from mine; but IMO I just wouldn’t want him that much because he has now shown a consistency to choke on the big stage. Or it’s like the pressure gets to him or something but he jsut doesn’t have the “it factor” that a coach/team needs to win it all.

Why would I do that? I already know what I need to know to have this argument with you… matter of fact I’m not even sure what your argument is…
No one is questioning whether or not he is a good coach; the question is whether I would want my team to hire him… and in my opinion; I wouldn’t want him…. I’ve had enough of my share of heartbreak and disappointment. Having a super talented team that should win it all; only to choke when it matters… being a Saints fan; I’ve had enough of that to last me the rest of my life.

What are we arguing here?? I still haven’t heard y’all give me a solid counterpoint to the main reason why I wouldn’t want to hire him. I’m not trying to discredit DVH or say he is a bad coach, etc. nothing like that. So exceeding preseason projections and all that isn’t going to change my opinion. If I wanted to hire a coach that could bring me consistent winning seasons; or if my program needed a rebuild and I wanted to hire a coach that could bring my team consistent and sustainable success; then I’d hire DVH no doubt…. But I’m wanting to hire a guy that has shown he can handle the pressure and win when all lights are on him. DVH has folded twice now. In 2018, the talent on that team was absurd. They should’ve walked home with a ring that year. But it’s baseball so I gave DVH the benefit of the doubt after that fluke error; knowing it could’ve happened to any team. But this year; how do I ignore this year? He showed what he could do by dominating the SEC. and even by raking NC state the first game. But then to lose the next 2… and such close games that (admit it or not, support DVH or not) he got out-coached in. That series kind of reaffirmed my opinion.

The only pitchers we had that could go more than 2 innings were:
Wicklander
Kopps
Pallette
When Pallette got hurt we were doomed. Tony LaRussa couldn't have won the CWS with just two pitchers.

In order to put your mind at rest, there is zero chance Dave would leave to go your school. So rest easy and find something else to occupy your day.

Hahaha ive already laid out multiple; multiple reasons why I wouldn’t want DVH. Once you take his co** out your mouth and his balls are no longer blocking your eyesight; maybe You can read all the reasons why I don’t/wouldn’t want him….

Yes. Now I do have some criticism of how he builds a team and his decision making deep in tournaments, but I think he is top 10 coach.
