I agree with him.
4 teams is perfect to me. I would just use the old BCS formulas to determine the 4 teams and not a committee.
12 is way too many... they'll ruin the regular season. Might as well go to a 10 game regular season and eliminate the conference championship games if you go to 12.

You mean the BCS?
No, I mean Roy Kramer invented the SECCG in 1992. That became the model for all other conference championship games. Why are they necessary? We've seen undefeated teams have to play that game against teams with 2 or more conference losses. Like undefeated BAMA vs 2 conference loss Florida in the very first CCG in 1992. Why? Money.

Coach Stallings didn't have much success vs Steve.

Expansion has to stop or else this turns into NBA and NCAA basketball

No, the 2 team BCS was perfect. Kept the regular season and all bowl games meaningful. With 4 teams and not automatic bids/regulations that you have to win your conference, bowls have become meaningless and the regular season has been watered down a lot.
This 12 team will also water it down significantly, but this will at least give the pac-12 and the rest of the country something to care about in terms of CFB
What effed this whole thing is Ok St. losing to ISU in 2011

The longer we go down this never-ending road, I'm really beginning to think this would be a great idea.
Even pushing it to six or eight, but with the BCS.
The immediate problem would be other conferences wanting "participation," which is how we've gotten to this current point.

Yep, and losing games by just a point or 2 to Spurrier didn't help. If Stallings had even a little offensive imagination he could have kept the machine going.

Yeah, I mean the very first one almost derailed Alabama's championship season.
I was against the extra game at the time, but it's hard to argue against the SECCG being the catalyst that made college football huge.
Is that good or bad? IDK.

NCAA Basketball is what I’m afraid of. I used to love college basketball but with the era of one and done and the best talent going straight to the NBA from high school they really hurt college basketball. Add all that up with what you just brought up with the expanded tournament and it’s just hard to get into college basketball for me anymore. I just hope they don’t ruin college football like that because the regular season college football has makes it special and far better than any other sport pro or college.

The 12 team CFP is being pushed because college football desperately needs parity. Even if it means the same teams win it, a larger playoff could cause some upsets to happen and that is where people are more willing to watch.

The NCAA basketball tournament is what makes it fun. It isn't perfect but it is fine as it is.

No doubt that's a part of it, but how likely is "could?"
It doesn't seem to happen very often in the FCS with 24 teams, but I guess more eyeballs regardless?

Parity is when talent and coaching is on the same level. What you describe is a 16th seed sending a 1 seed home. Could happen, but that has nothing to do with parity.

No there is just to many teams. 60 something teams is just way to many.

the BCS, and the subsequent expanded playoffs, have killed the bowls.
As a kid I was ecstatic when LSU would make the Sugar or Orange Bowls. Meant we had a great season.
Now, nobody gives a shite, unless you make the playoffs.
FCS model would probably be the best overall answer, and just drop the bowls. 24 teams in, means maybe 30 +/- have something to play for in the last week of the season.
24 fanbases have something to be fixated about in the postseason.
There would be runs from "lower seeds"; you know 2019 Alabama would go a couple rounds, easily. UGA could, too. That bitching about the "weak 4th seed" we currently get, would be replaced by excitement if you're in the next group down, and get matched up with that weak seed.
Most of the complaints seem to focus on who is worthy overall; but in reality there will be lots of upsets over the course of the playoffs.

Those 3 NCs must be hard to swallow during the time a team has to prove it on the field. I'm sure your fan base would have given anything to have simply played in a meaningless Bowl Game.
