If Ohio State loses to USC should a two lose SEC team get into the national championship game over a one lost Ohio State team? I would have to say yes, based off the last two championship games.
Thoughts???

Is this a rhetorical question?

I say yes and I say USC beats OSU by 2 tds or more.

USC should lay the wood to OSU. USC usually takes those big OOC game seriously, and then lose to a shitter team.
USC is as close to another SEC team in any division, and they got the speed skill position players.
I hope OSU has practiced covering the TE since the NCG.

I am bringing that "Atom Smasher" do-hickey to that game. I will switch it on at half-time, therefore dividing by zero and causing a rip in the space/time continuum, resulting in a loss for BOTH teams. The NC game will then be played Notre Dame vs. East Carolina, cuz Lou Holtz called Dionne Warwick's psychic friends network and they all agreed it would be so.

This game reminds me of the week leading up to the 2006 MNC when no one was giving Florida a prayer. I look for OSU to go into the colisium and upset usc.

quote:i agree. i think it helps that tOSU played like shite last week. now they are focused and using the "us against the world" mantra which is dangerous esp when used by a good team(and they are a very good team). SC, on the other hand, beat up on a cupcake and was throwing bombs at the end of the 3rd quarter. tressel will bring his a-game, afterall, SC is not in the SEC.

Maybe maybe not, can't really tell if you have talent or not when you aren't challenged week in and week out. The PAC 1 will never let us know.

Other than the fact that USC has cosistantly blown out the SEC teams they've played and outrecruit most of the SEC teams
Conference strength does not = an individual teams strength

This game has blowout written all over it.
1. Beanie might play, but he's not full speed. Did you see the cast of losers tOSU trotted out there in his place on Saturday? Those guys couldn't bust a soft-boiled egg at a church social. No ground game means death to Boeckman.
2. The Buckeyes STILL have not upgraded their receiver corps. They have no one to stretch the field. No one was getting open against Ohio for crying out loud. How do they expect to break away from damn USC?
3. That offensive line couldn't push a Miata downhill with a tailwind. My God, it was Ohio University!!!! They couldn't do jack!!!!
As much as I hate li'l Petey, I have to admit that the guy loves these matchups. Except for the loss to Texas, his teams usually leave no doubt as to which team is the better of the two, especially when the troyboys have had TWO WEEKS to prepare.
Ohio State will be lucky to score 10 points.
The troyboys by four TDs easy.

The answer to your original question is, "most likely not." Because there could also be a one-loss BigXII team.
And if that 2-loss team is LSU, then especially no due to the weak OOC Sched.

I've erased the 2003 AU-USC game from my memory.

Oh Jesus..... I heard the yapping from Hartline and gang before Jan 8 about lack of respect yada yada yada... they were not good enough then; they are not good enough now; and in all likelihood they will not be good enough in the future.
They are a good defensive team with a stud running back... that lets you dominate most crap, but does not hold against real teams.
