General opinion of Kirby

I liked Kirbys enthusiasm when he was at Alabama but I didn't really know much about him. When he got the Georgia job I reflected on his history at Alabama and looked around his past.
Kirby is not a natural leader. In-game Kirby gets too deep in the weeds of individual battles and loses sight of the big picture - hence when his coaches and players need a confident strategic leader Kirby's LOST knee deep in a coaching siezure anguishing over a linebackers depth or a corners angle of attack - and the "team" wobbles.
Kirby Smart Coaching Grades:
Recruiting A+
Analyzing talent B-
Utilizing talent B-
Developing players B-
In-game strategy D
In-game leadership D
Overall B-

If the rant’s opinion of Kirby Smart was defensible in a well-adjusted sense of reality, he would have been fired and out of the conference long ago.

You forgot to judge his half time adjustments.

Kirby has done more in his first 5 years as a head coach than 99% of other coaches.
Got unlucky with a qb and had some shite officiating in the NC game.
Other than that, we have gone Liberty, Rose, NC game, Sugar, Sugar, Peach(in a rebuild).
Some of you are just terrible posters.

All solid points. Nothing you said can be argued. He's choked on the biggest stage multiple times.

I believe that is part of his in game strategy which he gave a D on for some reason.

No way. That would mean the OP gets an F for being clueless.

Player development is a huge issue for Smart. Isnt it true that he has managed to not produce a single 1st team all american with all of this talent? He wins the star battle but it appears as though they don’t go beyond their abilities at that point. They make it the NFL because they are talented. There is also a reason why UGA kids seem to do flourish in the NFL. It has nothing to do with Kirby developing them, but rather they are finally getting solid coaching under a real coaching staff in the NFL. Pretty sure UGA just had a DL or LB transfer out because he and his dad weren’t happy with the rotations and feel he wasn’t getting the development he could be getting elsewhere.

I believe Kirby is a good coach. He's hard working, and is headed in the right direction. Has he made some bone headed mistakes along the way, big Yes, but haven't we all? That's the learning curve. All the big name coaches done something stupid before they hit their stride. Life is about Trial and Error.

Kirby is in high cotton at UGA. He is just getting started with his HC career but is doing great with the exception of winning the NC. Can he lead the Dawgs to the very top this year?
We'll see.
We'll see.
