Hogs record against the other national seeds.
Hogs record against all hosts.

Would be a shame if they didn’t win it all, I don’t remember a team this good in a long time

I don’t either. I picked them to win it all weeks ago, That’s a once in a program type thing.

Ain't no guarantees. Baseball can be a cruel game.

Turns out sometimes you drop foul balls in the final to lose to teams that start pedophiles
Very cruel indeed

Being the 1 seed is a curse. I think the TV guys during the SEC tournament said it had been like 20 years since the 1 seed won it.

Still don’t understand how we don’t get that guy out anyway. I don’t blame shaddy for that loss. I blame whoever the frickface pitching that game. You need one fricking strike to win a natty and you’ve got the guy 1-2. I’m throwing waste pitch after waste pitch until it gets to 3-2 and then I’m still pitching around the guy. If he walks cool you get the next one. Instead he fouls one ball off after that and grooves a center cut fastball over the middle left part of the plate that he promptly drives into right field. frick whoever it was pitching that game. Dipshit no chest having motherfricker

As an Arkansas native (and admittedly, an LSU alum), hawgs gonna hawg. I grew up repeatedly standing on the precipice of greatness, only to be smacked down by "real" teams.
Good luck, baws, but get used to the (normal) agony of defeat...

For an Arky fan one would think you would have a better recollection of the game and that moment but then again I'd probably want to drink that memory away to. If Shaddy doesn't try and be the hero your closer Cronin does his job getting a pop out and getting a save in both CWS finals games pitching 3 shutout innings.

It was Cronin you bastard, you leave any negativity out of your mouth for him.
He was/is a great pitcher.

Oregon State in 2017 went 49-4 in the regular season and didn't lose a game in their regional and super regional. Run into the wrong pitcher at the wrong time and it can derail a great season. They lost twice to LSU in Omaha.

You could tell Cronin didn't have it that game... I know you don't take your 'guy' out in that moment at the potential end of the season, but he wasn't sharp at all that day.

National seeding started in 1999 and Miami was seeded #1 and won the whole thing. That is the last time the #1 seed has won. In the 21 years of seeding, a team seeded in the top 8 has only won 10 of the 21 years.

Scroll down to National Seeds.
7 out of 21 times the number 1 seed didn't even make it to Omaha, including the last CWS where the 1, 3 and 4 seeds didn't make it.

Matt Cronin didn't have his best stuff that night. If the foul ball didn't exist, the complaining would be on Cronin walking some batters and giving up a base hit.

It was a team loss as Arkansas had a chance to tie it in the ninth. But Arkansas would not score again.
Arkansas responded negatively going into the third game and didn't get over it as the bats fell silent.
