The guy deserves all the accolades, he stuck around and worked hard during a culture where most QBs want the job handed to them on a silver platter. Mac understood it's best to wait and hone your craft, I'm honestly shocked most QBs don't follow the same route. Why rush to attain a job you know you aren't fully prepared for.

Didn't he walk away from a Kentucky offer to come to Alabama?

Seriously tho...imagine 2019 LSU playing every game in a scrimmage atmosphere

They’d have dropped 60 a game

This doesn't magically mean Trevor Lawrence's performance against them in the playoffs would exactly mirror how we would have done the first time.

Who are you to say Trevor Lawrence doesn't have a game just as good as the backup in the first game?

You're making very simplistic assumptions of how the game/gameflow of the first game would have gone simply because of the 2 end results we got.

All I'm saying is that QB play isn't the reason Clemson lost against Notre Dame in that first game. The guy completed 66% of his passes and threw for 440 yards. They lost that first game because their defense gave up over 500 yards of offense. That second game with a healthy defense? They gave up less than 270 yards.

No doubt, TLaw threw a pick in his game and they scored 4 less points in the second matchup.

I actually think Mac is a fine QB. I’m just saying it’s hard to judge when he had WRs that were from another planet.

Mac had Smitty and a half season of Waddle.

Tua had Smitty, Waddle, Jeudy, and Ruggs the whole year. Four likely first round WRs on the same team. Has any other team had that? Was it hard to evaluate Tua?

Mac had one NFL RB. Tua had two NFL RBs in DHarris and Jacobs and an NFL TE in Irv Smith.

You’re such a simpleton.

Joe crushed it in a non-furlough year.

This right here. There were more than a handful of commentators who believed Alabama's championship run was over when Waddle went down against Tennessee. All teams had to do was double up on DeVonta Smith and our offense will be stymied - so they thought anyway. Tua had all four of the aforementioned players on the field at the SAME. FREAKING. TIME. For two seasons! And he couldn't win a national championship with them as a full-time starter.

Has greatest passing season in A1abana history - still viewed as shittier than a kid from BYU and an FCS kid

Loser Jones will be working for SEC Network in a few years with Tuna and that other A1abana pole smoker! Facts!

It's impressive, but:

Heisman Caliber Receiver.
Heisman Caliber Running Back.
All-American Line.
COVID year:

Defenses can't practice like they normally can.
No true road games or crowd noise to deal with.

He did great at a program with incredible talent, in a year where defenses were Nerfed and no true road games.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him flame out in the NFL, but I also wouldn't be surprised to see him succeed. You still have to be objective and realize that he was throwing under perfect, A+, flawless circumstances for almost 85% of his passes.

Why does the world view Max as a joke? Because everyone views the 2020 season as a joke!

We tried to tell you fat sacks of shite

You’re all too stupid to listen though!

No one - will EVER - take 2020 seriously. Hell, most people view your Citrus Bowl team as the better team! LmAoOo!

Some of the gumps that post here are borderline delusional with this stuff. They convince themselves that they play football for the Tide and then spend every waking minute of their pathetic lives trying to convince others that they are the best at everything.
