Cuonzo is trying to flip the roster. Only problem is he can’t recruit.

He didn't shoot that much from 3. If you hit 1 out of 4 from 3 your percentage would be 25%.
Are you saying that CM recruiting is almost as bad as Odom's recruiting was when he was here? Two 5* players and two 4* players in his first year.

After his first year, Martin’s recruiting has been almost exactly as bad as Odom’s. Even with 5 commits this year, we’re ranked 40th. We were last in the SEC last year, 164th in the country. We were 40th the year before that and the top two recruits left before their sophomore year. We were 11th in the SEC the year before that, 59th in the country. That entire group has left as well.

Yeah. The guard we got is ranked below Pinson in the transfer portal. But if you’re only interested in defending the Coach, you’ll spin whatever you need to spin.
The kid from Michigan State isn’t coming. The kid from Toledo isn’t coming. The kid from
Texas isn’t coming. The kid from UMKC isn’t coming. Why would they?
We’re gonna offer some random players, give them the Ed Chang write-up in the paper “just what we need,” “fills a need,” “strong contributor,” etc. And then they’ll be in the portal next year.

I don’t get why Watson didn’t get more PT after the Arkansas game at home. Had steals and a couple 3s. That’s when I really started to lose faith in CMs evaluation of players.

Cuanzo’s recruiting ability seems to have been recruiting Michael Porter Sr. with a check and a job. By getting MPJ and Jontay, it lead to Tilmon and The Smiths. In my book, he has one season before he’s out. There is no one impressive left on the team because he doesn’t really recruit well. I’m shocked that’s the case, but every SEC school should be able to pull one or two four stars each year. Last chance Zo. I’m rootin for ya

He’s likely got two years left, unfortunately.
He only becomes fireable in April of next year. That’s pretty late to be hiring a coach and will likely buy him another year

Couldn't cut into Pickett's time while he limped around for, what, 4-5 games on a bad ankle.

Watson didn't play more because he wasn't good enough! Braun didn't play more because he wasn't good enough. We haven't lost anyone, other than the seniors, and they were never coming back. This is a chance to reset the roster. Lots of PT available, plus we can start developing the Frosh.
