Allen Greene has some work to do in the other sports. I know one that for sure will be getting an improvement soon.

Hogs gynmanstics program has gone from really good to elite with the hiring of Wieber. It was a huge gamble to hire someone so young, but the ability to be coached want to be coached by a gold medalist has been a game changer for the program.
Hunter Yuracheck just needs to do the same thing with the men's track program. There's no way in hell that sport should ever, ever not be winning national titles at least every few years.
The fact, though, that Arkansas is that deep in so many sports and is tied with the likes of Fla and GA, which have perhaps the best crop of instate talents across all sports, is saying something.
Just imagine if we had a functional football and bball program for the last decade..

Legit question about going all-in with all things sports? Florida got way behind with new sports facilities and stadium upgrades for years and one of the things I've heard from Florida fans was the complaint it took too much economically to win that Capital One Cup. How much does that stuff really bite into a sport's budget annually?

I really don't understand the question, but I will add that we didn't do anything financially different to win the Capital One Cup that I am aware of. We were doing just fine the previous 25 years in the Director's Cup before the Cap One cup was established.
Jeremy Foley was always a very fiscally conservative athletic director which is probably paying off now in times like these.

Florida Florida Florida. Why are they always on top? Even with their sucky facilities, they are the best overall sports program in the SEC by far. Now that they are upgrading all of their facilities, we will never get rid of their dominance. Ugh!

Florida knows that college football is an arm's race. It takes a lot of investment economically to compete and stay on top.
Is building a great track and field team any different? Baseball? Swimming? Would the facilities upgrade, best coaches, recruiting best talent nationally be any different than the football arm's race to stay on top?
Where's the economic tipping point where the football team is not getting the love it needs to compete with SEC programs putting every extra dollar toward that cause? Think Kirby Smart's recruiting budget he just turned in.

You know I think there is a lot involved, and one of the things Foley established was that he would give great support to all the teams at UF. But a lot of it is finding the right coach, and even some luck is involved.
I know we have tried like hell to get our perrenial worst sport of women's basketball competitive for a long time to no avail.
