2021 Roster just got better

DRob and Julian Rochester will use their 6th year of eligibility and suit up for the Dawgs this year. Hopefully Rochester can fully recover from his injury and build his 2022 NFL draft resume. He looked solid before the season ending injury. Robertson has the skills and speed to be a difference maker in 2021. I don't know what Walter Grant's situation is. He broke into the two deep rotation in 2017. It looks as if he's not going to suit up for the Dawgs in 2021.

They don’t count against the 85, so we have 2 spots left to make roster moves. Hopefully we get a couple experienced corners

Other "insider" folks I know are saying that kid has attitude issues and we aren't interested.

With knowing very little about them, there are a couple of intriguing CB guys in the portal. Kyle Meyers from Tulane who is 6’ 170 and eligible immediately and Colin Samuel who is 6’3” 200+ and eligible immediately. Thoughts?

IDGAS about his attitude personally. My bigger issue is that he runs his mouth constantly while getting torched constantly. I mean if he’s not good enough to stay at Okie and make a bigger impact then I highly doubt he’s good enough to come here.

DRob and Julian have shown flashes of potential to become great players. JRoc has had physical probs, DRob's seems to be between his ears for some reason.
Great to see both give it another shot with the Dawgs...

Frustrating that whatever’s been happening has kept Grant off the field. He was a solid edge guy that would’ve been great for depth.

I don't know. He wasn't targeted much but he showed good hands and route running on key 3rd down conversions.

As for outside linebacker Walter Grant, he will not be back according to the school. Grant last played in the 2019 SEC Championship loss to LSU, a game where he sustained a concussion on the kickoff return team. He missed the Allstate Sugar Bowl win over Baylor and the entire 2020 season after going through preseason camp. He is, however, listed on the program's 2021 roster according to the GeorgiaDogs.com website and he's considered an active student according to the UGA Registrar's Office.

I get that.
You said he was a solid edge guy.
In high school?

Def. Could just be my perception.
Seems like it was always a drop, not catching a long downfield pass or penalty on a downfield play.
Can't honestly say, remember (blank game) when he did xyz. So imma probably wrong...

He wasn’t a star with monster stats but he was a solid contributor. Losing him is not addition by subtraction.

He played the position least used by the defense (sam linebacker) and he was consistently pushed from 2nd team back to 3rd team in his career.
Just like 2020, we wont know he isnt there.
I wish the kid the best. I really do. He was a good special teams contributor. That is the nicest thing i can say about his play.
He is a dawg, and i hope he wins at life.

He worked his way into pretty significant playing time as a true Fr. That is why I always had high hopes. I wish him well.

I read this and thought to myself, we lost Azeez Ojulari to the draft and Jermaine Johnson transferred. The only other OLBs outside of the projected starters are MJ Sherman and Rian Davis. And we do bring in 2 freshman 5*s. I looked at the project 2021 roster and saw Robert Beal's name. I had forgotten all about him. He didn't play at all last year also.
I'm thinking both those dudes gave up on football.

DRob seemed to not bother to block sometimes, and got a few holding penalties on critical plays. He could run an end around though!

I have to reevaluate his blocking but all the receivers and TEs had problems holding
