Harsin's staff beat out Kentucky, Arkansas, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Mississippi St. for players in the final weeks of the recruiting cycle. The highest-rated recruit had a tough choice between AU, Arky, and Kentucky, but went with the Tigers instead.

Tar’varish Dawson, the highest-rated recruit he signed, also had offers from Arkansas and Kentucky. Dawson had already been committed to Auburn before Harsin arrived, but the new staff was able to convince him to stay.
Harsin’s staff beat out Tennessee and South Carolina for Colby Smith and Juwon Gaston. Joko Willis also had offers from Kentucky, Arkansas and Mississippi State and Cayden Bridges had an offer from Mississippi State.
So far, Harsin and his Auburn coaches have not had to go up against any of the big state schools in the main areas Auburn recruits – Alabama, Georgia and Florida. But after just six weeks on the job, he’s now gone up against five SEC schools and won the recruiting battle.

If Alabama knocked up Georgia, that's what the offspring would look like!

Recruiting season is basically over nowadays in December due to early signing day so what auburn got was some leftovers that were lukewarm to say the least. Getting only 16 players to commit to a school that "should" have lots of early playing time available based on their current skill deficit is certainly nothing to boast about.

Most of the staff have been on the job less than three weeks.

If crootin was done in December then Malzahn should've had a great class lined up for us. He didn't yet y'all still think we should've kept him.

Alabama are the reigning national champions and 1st in recruiting and you are worried about Auburn? You sit when you pee don't you?

You can keep Joko we'll take Trevin Wallace.

It’s almost like people don’t realize Auburn went through a late coaching change and replaced almost their entire staff. Are you people stupid as frick or really trolling the same stance over and over again?
ETA: Also, Auburn isn’t even down. They likely add Dylan Brooks and Cody Brown, both 4* players.

As Auburn’s new coach... he managed to add six scholarship players to the 11 Auburn had already signed. All six were three-star recruits, and Auburn’s class of 2021 moved up to No. 30 in the country.
Since he was first hired, Harsin has made it clear that he’s going to be selective, and he reaffirmed that Wednesday. Laying the groundwork for that culture was made easier when Darren Uscher came over from Boise State. Uscher was Harsin’s recruiting coordinator at Boise State, and he already knew what Harsin was looking for. He helped get each new coach on board as he joined the staff.
“It’s certainly competitive,” Harsin said. “It was competitive at Boise State. It was competitive at Arkansas State, and other programs I’ve been a part of.

This is going to be a lot of fun to watch

Every time I see Texag post I think of the race sensitive training he was required to do after posting racial messages to recruits. He’s the third one back.
