You do realize Brennan wasn't an in state recruit for LSU right?

Myles Brennan will be the best QB in the SEC next season.

Based on what I saw (which a very small sample - just the A&M game): Brennan. Max wax only slightly better than TJ in that game, and most of that came in the last minutes against backups. Max was 14/22 for 113 yards, or 5.2 per attempt. TJ was 9/25 for 155 yards, or 4.7 per attempt. Virtually all of Max's yards came in the last drive of the game, with A&M up 20-0 and the backups in.

He could be with a good OC. The Peetz guy is presumably much better than Ensminger

Meanwhile, Kellen Mond averaged 3.0 yards per attempt against one of the worst pass defenses in the country after three years under a supposed "QB guru."

No reason to lie

True. But Haynes King will be under center next year.
And backup were in. That's a fact. (Maybe not every single backup, sure...but backups were in.)

Except your starters were still in, bud.

If I were coaching, and I am not. I would tell all three guys they sucked last year and the position is open. Good luck.

One or two backups is not what you were portraying

All 3 are power 5 starters imo.

I could see Finley going somewhere like Louisiana Tech or ULL. Hopefully Johnson and Brennan will stay.

I think Max Johnson will be the starter.
Myles Brennan is a good QB, but he's a fricking statue in the pocket. Slow and has terrible pocket presence.
Max is faster, and from what we saw while he got PT, had pretty good pocket presence for a true freshman. It also seemed like he was better at reading the defense and seeing where to go and what to do.

I can agree with you on the pocket presence but it was pretty clear that they dumbed the offense down quite a bit for the freshmen.

When he was actually able to convert a 3rd down, sustain drives, Brennan was near the top of the country in drop backs per snap the first 3 games. He put up counting stats because the volume was so high. It was more of boom or bust with him and he couldn’t convert a 3rd down to save his life.

They struggled to run the ball on early downs then struggled to pass protect in obvious passing downs.
LSU receivers also led the country in drops for much of the early part of the season.

Brennan was only there a few games and his first was deer in headlights.
If I’m honest with myself I know Brennan is better QB.

I say Johnson has that Joe Burrow moxie and presence on the field that cannot be taught. He did what he did in the Swamp and against OM while never even coming close to being rattled at all. Extremely poised for a kid who was in High School the year prior. His future is bright. While Myles was breaking records in his first few starts and has the big arm, the team did not seem to rally around him. It was a totally different team offensively with Johnson in.

Brennan was playing with a very inexperienced team that barely had any offseason work and was thrust right into a conference schedule.
Johnson was playing with a team that'd already played 8 SEC games.
