Scheduled to get my 1st vaccine Friday. I'm working on my nutrition as a torn ACL right before covid-madness and lack of exercising as much took its toll.

Hello all. Just had my first injection in my right ear this morning to help with Ménière’s disease. Last year between the divorce and bouncing all around the south for work the vertigo and nausea got unbearable. Here’s to a better year.
My mom had that done. Isnt it 4 shots in 4 days?

Yes sir. I’m getting my 2nd and 3rd done first week of February. I had to come from Dothan to Mobile and my schedule wouldn’t let me stay for the rest this week.

You are correct. Did they help your mom?

Wife got her first dose mid December. I unexpectedly got mine 2 weeks ago.
I do consulting work with a healthcare network. They identified me as eligible. I had previously declined, just assuming they’d move on to others and I think they did. But they were getting more doses from the vials than anticipated and ultimately needed to find arms at the end of a long day. Guy in front of me looked like he was 80, told the pharmacist he was a nighttime janitor. We had to wait around a while under observation for allergic reactions and the guy was tearing up. Wish they could have find more folks like him.
Anyway, going back next week for the second. Arm hurt like hell and woke up with a headache but that’s about the extent of it. About the same for the wife

Yeah for a little while it seemed to help......... but she is a 73 year old alcoholic with horrible balance. I’m not sure the menueres is the main problem with falls. But I’m sure it would be very helpful for compliant patients.
Her falls always occur at night. I think the fireman know her name and address now.

Only been nauseated enough to vomit a couple of times, but it was brutal when it happened. Hope the injections do the trick for you

When I got back here and read this thread, that is exactly what I thought. Damn, we are some broken MF'ers.

Yeah man this past year has been hell. Been averaging at least one attack a week now. Woke up from a dead sleep last week dizzy and nauseous. Vomited and was stuck in bed not being able to do crap. So far so good.

I'm still waiting for my first dose down here, and I work directly with people with I/DD. It's becoming frustrating how little info is out right now on getting vaccinated there is at least in the Springs.

Unusually cold down here but is should warm back up! Our family health is fine so thankful for that! Not planning on taking a vaccine or anything been around plenty that have had it and for some reason never got it nor has my family so that is a great thing. Looking forward to this spring and seeing what we have for a team! WDE!
How's everyone doing?

Wife is a teacher, and I'm in banking...we're both next on the list as of now. I'll get the shot, but the wife is a nope as of now. I figure I put a whole lot worse in my body during my time at AU...plus, my 40th is in July and we're trying to get a Costa Rica trip planned with friends.

Blood type? I've read that type O is resistant to it. Me and daughter are O positive, wife is O negative...no issues and I've been in person every day since this started. Others no issues either.

I’m O negative and I’ve worked in an office for 9 months where it continually erupts. Spent time with many people who were diagnosed within hours of our meetings.
Yet I’ve never caught it, but have caught the flu. Go figure.

Thanks. It’s been an adventure ever since my dad died. A few years ago She ended up in the hospital and a nursing home detoxing. Doesn’t remember any of it. Went right back to drinking six months later. She is a hot mess who won’t listen to either me or my older brother. We just manage her as best we can and hope for the best. She is of sound mind.
It really is a miracle she hasn’t killed herself falling so much.
