Imagine if you were born on today’s date (day and month, not year), but in 1981.

You would be 40 years old and have yet to see a National Championship in football for Georgia in your lifetime.

Just an interesting fact to consider today... and any day hereafter.

Almost as bad is being fresh out of HS and starting UF but dating a girl that was going to UGA.

Tough times. We didn’t date long.

Thank goodness ESPNU and SEC Network will proably show that Sugar Bowl vs Notre Dame so the young ones can watch and wax nostalgic this summer. Plus they can watch Buck Belue's amazing passing performance in that ball game.

To put it into perspective, Eli Manning was born two days after that game. Georgia has not won a national championship over Eli Manning's entire lifetime.

... is that no Flarder fan alive today will ever see their record over Georgia even. Nor will their children.

Great fact. I learned quite a bit along the way. I really enjoyed the part about being forty and never seeing a natty!

Sad
- but at the same time - hilarious.

I have several UGA friends that were ages 2 to 5 years old in 1980. They swear to god they remember it.

They don't, it's just a fuzzy false memory.

It kind of makes me said that I am old enough to remember Georgia's last football National Championship.

Since UGA won their last title:

Bama has won 7 (claim 7)
Florida has won 4 (claim 3)
LSU has won 3 (claim 3)
Auburn has won 1 (claim 1)
Tennessee has won 1 (claim 1)

15 claimed titles by conference opponents since your last one, and that's not even counting the near-misses: Bama playoff losses, Auburn screw job in the 80s and 2004, Florida unluckiest team of all time in 1995. Total could easily be 4 or 5 higher.

The number movie at the box office the last time each Big 6 team won their last national championship:

Georgia: 9 to 5
Tennessee: Patch Adams
Florida: Marley and Me
Auburn: True Grit (2010)
LSU: Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker
Alabama: Wonder Woman 1984

....I’d say it’s a tie between Georgia and Auburn.

Bonus:

Texas A&M: Gone With The Wind
Arkansas: Goldfinger
