You guys can downvote me all you want, but Jones is NOT a starting NFL caliber QB. If that is the pick at 36 then both Fontenot and Smith will be out of work in 3-4 years. This entire site, from the Rant on down, is way overrating him.
If Zach Wilson is there at 4 that'd be my pick(I would take him over Fields id they are both there), if he's gone then I take Sewell and move Jake to RT.
Mac Jones at 36....
None of you guys could be my GM.

Gee another post from you about Zach Wilson and Mac Jones.
How many times have you made this point? My guess has to be 25+

We're downvoting you because you take the sideline approach and whenever someone posts something you disagree with you don't simply state why you disagree, you go the childish route, posting laughing emojis in lieu of a constructed response. It's a tired, lazy response and makes you look like a jackass.

He's a referee, so his natural instinct is "I'm right, you're wrong, and there's nothing you can do about it". That comes across in his posts.

I could care less what people think of me.
I've stated why I think Mac Jones won't be a success at the next level, and that taking him any earlier than the 3rd round would be a massive reach. But I will repost it here for you and others who may not of seen it:
1. Jones has only started 16 games in college. That's not enough. Mitch Trubusky, who was a top-5 pick, only started 13, and we see how that's turned out. TLaw, by compariso, started over 40 games in college as well as close to another 40 in high school, he started as a freshman at Cartersville. QB's w/those few starts usually don't make it in the pros.
2. He has the best players at every position surrounding him. He has never had to elevate lesser talent around him(the thing Brady has made a career of) b/c he has been surrounded by 5 stars everywhere.
3. He has thrown in nothing but wide open windows, again, b/c of #2 above. He has never thrown anyone open. That's not how it's gonna be in the pros, baw. You have to throw guys open in tight windows or you are gonna flush out.

Those are all fair points, especially #1 which I agreed with in the other thread. The problem is when people disagree with you, you're a complete prick.

I disagree fine and agree to disagree fine, as long as there is logic behind the differing take/opinion. Don't come w/an uninformed opinion or hot take or I'm gonna call people out on it.
If that makes me a prick, oh well. I could GAFF.

Multiple times.Do you actually think it
makes a better argument if you continually state the same thing over and over again?

And? How is this his fault or a strike against him? He performed great surrounded by great players much like Joe Burrow. BTW you bring up. the GOAT in Tom Brady to make your argument?
quote:
He has thrown in nothing but wide open windows
Every single pass of every single game?
Love to see the analytics on that.
He practiced against the best defensive talent in CFB for four years and the best CB in Surtain. Don't ya think he threw into just a FEW tight windows in all those practice reps along with 7 on 7's?
ETA Why do you continually state he started 16 games when he actually started 18?

Ok, 18 games. I was going off memory and didn't do any cross-referencing.
My point still stands. Jones is not NFL starter material for the reasons I have already stated above. You and others are too caught up in stats. I go by what I see on tape.
And practice and real game time are two totally different things. C'mon dude.

I'll take Bama practice over 90% of an ACC schedule.

Without taking personal sides, I don’t see Jones being worth a crap in the NFL.

Shhhh. Don't say that too loud. It's pretty much dogma among some on here and pretty much everyone on tRant that Jones is the next Brady, worth a top-5 pick, and is better then TLaw and that TLaw will be a gigantic bust.
I mean it's ridiculous.

Why do you keep saying this?
Name one person who says he the next Brady?
You've already made 2 incorrect statements about how many starts he had in college and how many starts Aaron Rodgers had at Cal.
Stop pulling garbage at yer arse

I could say the same about you. Don’t pretend that you are mr objective. Especially when Clemson is involved in a discussion.
And don’t dare have an opinion about Fields because it’s not relevant based on your post.
