I mean he could, but he was also fired by Dabo and Saban had several chances to promote him and he did not

Sark was fired by his previous employer.

Huge mistake too.

Sark is one of the greatest offensive minds the world has ever seen. What a treat it would be to have Sark as offensive coordinator.

I feel bad for anyone that loses him!

A lot of great coaches have been drunks.

Dye, Bryant etc.

It is probably tougher to pull off today though.

LSU would have been a helluva lot better off if Alabama had stuck to teetotalers!

An alcoholic just manipulated the entire state of A1abana. Both sides. That is humiliating!

I guess it could be worse, he could have derailed his team's entire season because he was too busy hanging out with gold diggers like Coach 0 did.

Take inspiration from Sark, Wilson. You can beat your Alabama obsession the way Sark beat his demons.

That’s not a drop in the bucket compared to programs like Tenner and AU have burned up in buyouts.

This. 3.5 a year sounds ludicrous until you realize how much extra money Alabama is creating and saving by having a highly successful and highly stable program that hasn't had to pay a meaningful buyout in nearly 15 years.

And what was Ogre's record as a head coach before LSU hired? I'll hang up and listen.

"Bama has better luck with drunks."

You don't say.

" There are plenty of other notable Coach O moments, including a few bar fights before he got to Ole Miss. In 1984, for instance, Orgeron, was arrested on a battery charge resulting from a bar fight in Natchitoches.

In 1991 “a Dade County (Florida) woman was granted a restraining order against Orgeron after accusing him of repeated violence.”

In 1992, Orgeron was “arrested in Baton Rouge and charged with battery, failure to leave the premises and misrepresentation during booking. According to news accounts from the time, a “drunk Orgeron head-butted the manager of a bar” after being asked to leave."

So about 56.8%
Orgeron's record is so much better at about 59.8% including the worst fall the next year from a national title season than any team in my lifetime.

Tell me Bill, why do you think Orgeron failed so badly, after proclaiming they would kick Alabama's arse every time they play, to lose 55-17 the very next year, which makes him 1&4 vs Alabama.
