It sounds like what you’re saying is that the LSU program has had sustained success over the last 20 years while also saying that LSU is awful in the BCS / playoff era.

Do you have a link to me saying LSU is awful in the playoff era?

Yes, LSU has been very good since Saban built the program. Between the white bread 1950's and Nick Saban, an also ran, and UT and UGA were considerably better.

Living in the present

You’re using different time periods to group different teams depending on what suits your pre-conceived narrative. For Bama/Clemson it’s the playoff era. For LSU, UT, UGA, you’re using 1958-present. For LSU and UGA, it’s only this year. Maybe at least try to use some consistency

Or just make your mind up on a time period that is actually relevant

How many years past nick saban leaving LSU will you credit saban for LSU’s success and not just credit the program for being good?

If not for Saban building the program Les Miles would never have won a national title.

If not for Nick Saban, Alabama would be Tennessee right now...a has been program

Short of looking it up I think LSU has 4 national titles in the poll era, UGA and UT have 2. So obviously LSU is ahead of both those programs in that respect.

On the other hand, both UGA and UT have won more games and more SEC titles than LSU so it's kind of a wash, which is exactly why I said that LSU, UGA and UT are peers.

LSU has 12 SEC tiles. UGA and UT have 13. LSU having 2 more national titles than both more than makes up for one fewer conference title. It’s not a wash at all

This being the last year of the decade, you are wrong.

perhaps but not likely, considering Alabama has won more games, more national titles, and more SEC titles than any team in the nation since 1900.

oh, and ITP (In The Present) Alabama sits atop the conference yet again, while LSU flounders around in the underworld

You ignore that UGA and UT have won more games than LSU. So let's tally it up

UGA and UT with more SEC titles
UGA and UT with more total wins
LSU with more national titles

UGA/UT 2 vs LSU 1

I'm doing you a favor and calling it a wash.

ITP (In The Present) UGA is way the hell better than LSU. I'd go with UT in a UT vs LSU game.

Well technically, Tennessee would have a more recent championship

They aren't. Haven't you been paying attention? There are degrees of chaos here. Pretty much why coach Saban confessed it's about stops, not stats.

that's not technically, you ignorant and uneducated sidewalk fan, that's subjectively.

What is not subjective is that between the 1958 to Nick Saban LSU did not win a national title. UGA and UT did. In that same timeframe UGA and UT each won 7 SEC titles. LSU won 4. Oh, and Alabama won 16

Do A&M and Bama fans jerk each other off in real life too or only virtually on this board?

The melt is real, calling you low IQ has really rustled your jimmies.

By the way, pro tip, if being called an "uneducated sidewalk fan" was an insult to me, I wouldn't have made it my freaking username.

ok, so let's consider, again, ITP

Alabama undefeated, atop the SEC and #1 in the nation, UGA 5&2 and #13 in the nation, and LSU nowhere to be found and lost to Missouri and Miss. State

ITP
