We looked a little wide eyed across the board - players and coach.

Hopefully we take this experience and learn from it moving forward. We will have the roster to do it.

I know people hate football references but we did the same thing in 08 SEC championship - gotta learn how to win and then gotta learn how to win big games.

Id imagine keon and JQ and others will take a lot from this loss into next season

Kicked balls are supposed to automatically stop the possession and give the ball back to the offense.

It has to be a clear and intentional kick. If the defender is moving and the dribble hits his foot, it's not a kick. I'm not saying that's how it happened, but that could easily be how the officials ruled.

It wasn’t a kicked ball. The defender was in a defensive position and Petty dribbled it off his foot.

I didn’t understand why Primo was absent most of the game.

Seriously why did he not play hardly at all in the second half?!?! He should have gotten all of Shacks minutes!

I have nothing but love and respect for this group of guys. They changed this program around and made it a memorable season for us fans regardless of tonight's poor performance.

The last time we played in the sweet sixteen we lost to UCLA because of missed free throws. I will never watch another Bama'UCLA tourney game again if it happens. I'm still pissed about the last one under Gottfried.

Yes, but it wasn't a kicked ball. Petty just dribbled it off the dude's foot.

That was round of 32 but yes you are otherwise 100% accurate.

Pretty sure Ronald Steele missed 2 like Herb didn't he?

Not true. The guy's foot moved into place while petty was dribbling and he kicked it.

It think the matter is whether it was intentional.

In the end? NO WAY Petty should have been handling the ball.

Ever.

Let's be honest, are the odds higher the guy kicked it or Petty dribbled the ball off of something.

I think we know the answer.

This season is like the 08 season in football, the season that changed the culture to winning.

14 missed Free Throws.
4 contested threes.

That's a 26 point swing.

13 turnovers
The Shorts TO
No call on Gary
Bruner failing to get that easy rebound and fell over.

That's 16 possessions.

Also, I don't think that the number of commercial and TO helped. I think that can effect the flow and it goes against our advantage of wearing a team down.

Boooo

It happens nearly a handful of times in almost every game and is never called a kicked ball. The only time they call kicked ball is when the defender throws his foot out to block a pass.

The okay was a just a microcosm of our bad luck tonight.
