Really tough game against a team playing well on the road.

Hoping for the best but expecting the worst

This is a game prior coaches would lose by 20-30 points, so I'm also expecting the worst. It's going to take a few years to get past the PTSD from Gottfried>Grant>Johnson.

I hate these 8pm games. I’m either pumped and can’t sleep or pissed and can’t sleep

Feel pretty decent actually. house money, but guys have been steeping up in big games.

It’s even worse for us EST folks..

Yep. A late tip on a mid-week game has me dropping my kid off at school and driving to work with one eye open.

Yea the 9PM start is brutal. Luckily we've avoided a lot of those this season. Seemed like every game the last 2-3 years was a 9 PM start.

Some folks need to sack up. This is a huge game. We play very few top 25 games, and we have not won many of them. We cannot afford to lay an egg here.

I don't want us to lay an egg but we definitely can afford to lay an egg and still win the SEC and probably be a #2 seed.
I'd prefer we didn't, though

No George. Your attitude, from 1000 miles away, directly impacts the team's performance.

Yeah. This is the only game remaining, that we actually can lay an egg. We may drop a spot at most of we lost. It would be huge towards getting a slot between 3-6, which would be huge. But other than that, we could lose tonight, and on Saturday or Sunday in the SEC tournament, and still be a 2 seed. Though at a certain point, you'd probably be better off as a 3 seed at the 11 or 12 spots.

Yep. But it's weird to see a team go 2-5, but be ranked at 52. But they've played well during a tough stretch. Stackhouse is a whiny bitch, but he's actually starting to turn the around a bit.

Oats pretty clearly respects the hell out of him - I remember him talking about how hard they were to prepare for before the game last year, and then he did the same this year.

He had a ton of hype as a potential replacement at UNC whenever Williams retires. But he needs to stay off social media. The Dukies alone would drive him postal.
