Sexton was not a very good defensive player, but he wasn't as much of a liability as Kira. In my opinion, at least. So that would put him over the top for me.
Kira was a hell of an offensive player though. Not much between them on that side of the ball - if anything Kira was maybe a bit more polished.

I know that rate stats don't make things look any better for us, but I hate that the go to stat for showing how bad we were on defense is PPG. We outpace every major conference program in the country. Even if we play good defense we will still probably give up 70-75 points on a regular basis.

I'm pretty sure that is the only thing slapdick Rothstein knows about Alabama after his 30 seconds of research.
This is the same guy that still thinks Alex Reese will be starting at the 5.

Yep. But we will still win 90% of our games because teams have a helluva time holding Bama under 85 unless we are just laying bricks. But with the number of shooters we have now, I don’t see that happening very often.

Most media talking heads really don't know a whole lot about teams outside of the top 10-15 nor do they bother to find out until and unless new teams move up into that group. It's understandable to a degree since there are hundreds of D1 basketball teams, but if it's your job to know then you need to know. One of the few things I like about Vitale other than his unceasing, virulent hatred of Will Wade, is the fact that the dude loves college basketball and can speak pretty knowledgeably about a wide variety of teams and players even though he is a huge Dook homer.

That's a win as far as i'm concerned.

The previous Tweet quoting the NCAA report re “cooperation” is basically the core of why Alabama basketball did not receive postseason or scholarship sanctions
I'm not going to point any fingers, but that should make a few programs sweat.

I wonder what Will Wade gets if Kobie Baker got 10 years, WOW!

Alabama basketball received the public infractions decision from the from the NCAA today from the federal basketball case. They’ll get three years probation and a fine of $5,000 and one-percent of one year basketball operating budget. No scholarship losses or postseason ban.

Having a conclusion on the FBI thing and having it completely behind us with no scholarships lost and no postseason ban is awesome.

I have never made a secret of my opinion of who I think it should be, but at least one program is going to get absolutely obliterated and receive some death penalty equivalent sanctions. If the NCAA either throws their hands up and says they couldn't find anything or doles out a few hard slaps on the wrist I think their already waning enforcement power will be gone for good and it will quickly usher in the transition of college basketball from a pseudo-amateur sport to unofficial minor league basketball. This is sort of their last stand moment to me, and they need to make it count if they want to remain relevant for much longer.

I was unaware the team was under investigation.
if nothing is ever done to Will Wade, then I'm convinced that things like rampant voter fraud is all true.

It certainly doesn't bode well for Wade, but remember our guy's job before coming to Bama was with the NCAA in compliance. I'm not surprised they went HAM when one of their own crossed the line that badly.
