Before the Draft: I take Tua #1 over Burrow. Tua going to a much better team. Burrow doomed in Cincy. Tua going to be the next Russ. Etc etc.

Now: I take Burrow over Lamar for next 10 years. Tua looks small. Forget stats, wins etc...Tua just Doesn’t have “IT”. Burrow Does.

LINK

Gumps still probably think Tua better than Burrow. Smh. Yet another Alabama QB to flop in the pros. LOL

Colin Cowherd talked constantly about how Tua was the next Russell Wilson until one day Joel Klatt(who even Colin would admit knows way more about college football) explained to him that Tua is not near as mobile as a Russell Wilson, since that day he has slowly turned on Tua. I think Colin watches a lot of NFL but barely any college football.

Also Colin played both sides of the argument on Burrow. He talked a ton about how he is “not a great prospect, etc etc” but then said he thinks he will be as good as Tony Romo, a long time successful NFL QB. So either way he could claim to be right, because he basically said Burrow wouldn’t be good and would be really good.

I don't take anything Cowherd says seriously. I think both QBs can do very well. It isn't an either/or.

You understand that Cowherd's also the guy that's said Saban was done and over multiple times.

He's a just a TAD bit prone to knee-jerk reactions.

Dude it is Cowherd.

I like his show but his takes can be terrible. His schtick about Baker and Darnold get ran into the ground.

Cowherd doesnt know shite about college football players

He interviewed Urban Meyer last year about Burrow and asked him how he let Burrow get out of Ohio without committing to Ohio State

Meyer just stared at him like an idiot for a second before letting him know that Burrow did, indeed, commit to Ohio State out of high school.

I wish we could ban topics related to Cowherd. He's a waste of conversation.

You know man, you don't have to go to Cowturd to get reassurance or to make your case that Burrow is better than Tua. You can use draft pick, stats, starts, and just about everything to make your case now. Collin himself has said "I don't get paid to be right. I get paid to get ratings." My point is that I wouldn't use him to reinforce any of my points because his credibility is suspect and his opinions aren't even always genuine according to his own words. That being said, I can't help but agree with him on this point based on what we have seen so far.

Why can't they just both be good?

Agreed. I almost always root for anyone from the SEC to do well in the NFL. I think it helps the whole conference.

There’s no consistency in anything Cowherd says. He just throws whatever at the wall everyday. He just says what he thinks at the moment, regardless of anything he’s ever said to the contrary.

I'm a gump and I'd take Burrow over Tua....
with that said, does it help you deal with the pain and misery of this years lsu team knowing a FORMER qb is better

I'm not interested in engaging in your argument beyond pointing out the obvious: anyone on here who uses Cowherd as evidence to support his position should be taken out back and shot.

What is "this years lsu team?"

never heard of it.

Its covid 2020, there's no football this year.

Now excuse me while I go watch the Bengals and cry

It’s what he’s paid to do, you can find him countering against himself at some point on every hot take he makes.

His job is not to be right, it’s to stir people up and trigger debates. I don’t know how some people still haven’t realized this
