Sounds like it was much more serious than just a little fender bender too. 247 said he’s lucky to be alive.

im not necessarily doubting this, but how serious can an injury/set of injuries be that doesn't/dont require any surgery?

lucky to be alive in one of those "if this happened and you fell like this, youd have been fricked" ways?

He’s got a broken rib, concussion and bruised lungs. He will probably never play for Georgia again.

Concussion and bruised lungs are both 1-2 week recoveries. Broken rib can be 4-6 weeks, but could play sooner.

If anyone on this team wanted to be out there for his teammates and Kirby, it would be Lecounte.

I wouldn't LeCounte him out just yet. He could be back at the end of November

Mom says the lucky to be alive is that he was wearing his helmet and that saved his life. It involved 2 cars and a "dirt bike" as described by officer

Not surprised.
This is why our football program appears to underachieve/is overrated based on our #1 total team 247 player ranking.
Year in and year out:
1. we haven't had a NFL level QB since Matt Stafford
2. way too often we aren't able to have our best players on the field for a wide variety of reasons not the least of which is devastating injuries

That was directly from his mama about an hour after it happened. Needless to say Hinesville lit up about it.

The Braintrust here said he wasn’t very good, so no big loss?

I know, right? It’s obviously a massive loss for our defense if he’s out but I’m surprised a lot of this board thinks so given what’s been said about him week after week for the last 4 years

It really is amazing the mouth breathing mongoloids who post on here who never played a down in their life.

He is the type of kid that will still try to lead and inspire the team.

This is a real loss on terms of in field talent, but there are others who can play the position.

This is an enormous loss in terms of on field leadership. There no replacement - especially in the secondary.

Up to an including mortal. If it's bad enough, they'll just do what they can to make you comfortable.

Does anyone want to go back and look at this place after the Sugar Bowl loss to Texas? How bout the beginning of last year?

Does anyone remember the countless post complaining about his "tackling" or "positioning?"

I think I'll try to find a few of them.
