He's absolutely boom or bust on certain plays. Early on in his career, it was apparent that he was gunning for the Sportcenter highlight reel on some snaps. Sometimes he made it because he's a ball hawk and he nabbed the INT, other times he made it because it turned into a blown coverage and the WR made a grab.

"Certain plays"
This could be said of any DB whose ever played a down of CFB.
His positive plays FAR outweigh the opposite.

Kirby's presser today will be big. I'd like to hear that Mathis will get some reps with the 1s and Cine, Pickens, Walker, McIntosh etc. are all minor injuries/day-to-day but I am not very optimistic.

By yesterday morning I went ahead and gave up on the season. If we do end up beating UF, we're going to get demolished by bama. With our current situation with injuries/QB we may not even beat UF. I've went ahead and accepted the fact we are shooting for a citrus-type bowl and have zero chance at the playoffs. We always seem to be excellent on defense under kirby so I just hope we get QB figured the frick out by next September.

Honestly I had low expectations relative to the whole Covid-19 fiasco anyway so it won't be much of a let down for me.
Basically almost everything that could have gone wrong went wrong for our Dawgs this season. I just hope that we finish with another top 5 recruiting class and better luck next year.
