I, like the LSU players, thought we would be fine because of the jerseys we were wearing, no matter the reality of the situation.

That Tennessee’s QB room would keep Gitmo from being an issue this year. Either by him transferring out or being on a short list. Hill ran the scout team impressing coaches and teammates in a sit out year, Mauer was healthy, Shrout had another year, freshman Bailey and Holiday were outstanding prospects. No way Gitmo hurts us this year.
Game 1: Gitmo misses wide open receivers and keep a bad UofSC in the game with me screaming to get him out
Game 2:(tune up game against a really bad Mizzou) this has to be a game the others get a shot. Mizzou makes a change and gets 1000x better. Gitmo is ok but with a big lead let’s see someone else.
Game 3: Get him out now. He is a statue with zero threat to run and isn’t helping the team

Hill transferred, Holiday is a WR, Mauer has off the field issues and is about to transfer, Bailey spent the spring in quarantine. Gitmo it is.

Me? Newman is gonna lead uga to glory. He quit. What a douche.

Nationally/sec? The vols have the most amazing OL that’s ever been assembled. It’s average on a good day.

I knew the D would take a step back. I was off by about 13 steps.

I was going thru my off-season posts and found my reply to this gem:

And I am glad to have Pete Golding back next year. He's extremely underrated and given the circumstances he did a great job. While many Alabama fans wanted him gone and thought he would be gone, I was not among them, nor was I even remotely surprised when Saban kept him on staff.

I'm happy that you're happy with Pete Golding.

This. Anything about our OL being dominant was a stinky doo doo bad take. Will Friend apparently cannot develop talent to save his life (or his job, hopefully).

I said our defense would have as good, if not a better pass rush.

So....yea.

How about from week 1... "Mike Leach is going to be scary at Mississippi State"

Right out of the chute, Leach IS scary. Beat LSU with about 1/10th of LSU's talent.

Thought we’d lose to Auburn but here we are 2-1 to start the season.

That not playing the season would be bad for LSU recruiting

Just curious about your "1/10th" comment...

Looking at 1 to 1 matchups. LSU has Miss St beat in talent at pretty much every position.

That was a coaching loss - FAR from a talent loss.

Scary for State fans anyway so not a total miss.

Any State fan that has buyers remorse never followed his career. He competed almost every year with a top 5 team down to the final possession & would compete to lose with the worst P5 team the next week. Hi career is unreal.

My worst off-season take was predicting that Arkansas would beat Auburn.

That our defense was going to be bad and the offense was going to be good. Couldn’t be any more wrong.
