Dabo Swinney himself took beatings for years til it finally came together. Kirby may have made some bonehead calls, but everyone has in their life, and that's including everyone on the rant. Life is trial and error, the difference is work ethic. If you work hard, you will learn and start to make sound, good decisions. They will come sooner than later, and when they do, you all know what's in store. That's why deep down most of the league, including you all on here are worried to see the Dawgs win one, because it will most definitely lead to more.

Georgia - Kirby has been wildly successful on the field and on the recruiting trail - this isn’t up for debate. That being said, how long does he get to stay being a perennial contender, but not bringing home a National Championship? Mark Richt was batting around 10 wins a season for a long time, but was eventually ran off.
I think as long as he is contending for SEC Championships and occasionally making the playoffs he is fine.

Does the QB room give you concern?
Right at the moment, yes. I do think it will be sorted out soon, though.
quote:Mullen has you there. After last week, Florida should be the favorite to win the east. It's still very early, though. He is light years better than your last two coaches, though.
As for us, I’m just happy to finally watch entertaining ball on a consistent basis, but a CFP appearance and National Title would be nice.

Our blue chips are 49? According to 247 we have a 65 percent blue chip percentage this year.
With a 85 scholarship roster that is probably about right, isn't it? (I am not very good at math, and I am not going to try to check, though)
ETA
Okay. 49 of 85 would actually be 57.65%...or almost 58%. I would guess that it would depend on when the 247 percentages were figured up and when Straws were figured? Maybe which is most recent?

Pruitt.
Running off to where? Bama? To live in Sabans shadow no matter what he does? Hell Saban is a hero to Bama but it the Bear people worship. Why deal with that? Gen Neyland was every bit the coach Bryant was and 10 times the man but VOL fans don’t deify him. Pruitt can stay here and built his legacy if that’s his future.

The East is definitely improving. Georgia and UF look to be the top teams for a couple of years.
Tennessee looks to be closing that gap pretty soon if Pruitt can keep up the recruiting and development of the players. I like that he identifies a weak coach quickly and doesn't waste time getting rid of them.
UK under Stoops will continue to be a tough out for most teams and will upset some and lose some they shouldn't.
USC? I'm not sure what to think of them. They appear to be a lame duck program right now but I think Bobo can do some good things there.
Mizzou seemed to be pretty well coached against Bama but I want to see more of it.
Vandy, well, they are what they are.

I still have to keep UGA at the top but think UF is closing the gap. upcoming games. Auburn, Tennessee, Alabama.

UF is showing promise and playing better ball but it's early. upcoming games. USCe, A&M, LSU.

Blue Chips on roster:
2020: 49
2019: 39
2018: 35
2017: 28
2016: 24
5-stars on Roster:
2020: 4
2019: 1
2018: 1
2017: 2
2016: 2
So, yeah, he is actually closing the gap. In every measurable way.
I don't think you know how to measure.
UGA 2020:
68 blue chips
38 high blue chips (.9400 or better)
16 5 star players
UGA 2019:
59 blue chips (are you figuring out that your GAP needs to be measured against UGA yet?)
32 high blue chpis (.9400 or better)
12 5 star plays
UGA 2018:
65 blue chips
33 high blue chips (.9400 or better)
10 5 stars
But the question is why do the 2020 numbers for UGA mean so much more than the 2018 numbers? Upperclassmen.
2020 upper-classmen numbers
Blue Chips: 41
High Blue Chips (.9400 or better): 32
5 Stars: 7
UGA's upperclassmen alone are almost equal to the talent at Florida with 2 very, very good defensive recruiting classes in 2019 and 2020.
2019 upper-classmen numbers
Blue Chips: 22
High Blue Chips (.9400 or better): 12
5 Stars: 3
2018 upper-classmen numbers
Blue Chips: 26
High Blue Chips (.9400 or better): 11
5 Stars: 3
Some fans want to look at half truths.
The fact is that UGA's #1 recruiting class in 2018 are now upper classmen.
The fact is that we've stacked 2 underclassmen classes right there with the 2018 class. We aren't going anywhere.
Look at your numbers again, straws.
Tell me if your 2020 roster gained 19 upperclassmen blue chips.
Tell me if your 2020 roster gained 20 high blue chips in the upperclassmen ranks.
Tell me if your 2020 roster gained 4 5-star upperclassmen.

Lol. No you're not. We finished 4-8 last year and still smoked Kentucky 24-7. Don't expect that to change this year either.

Tennessee and Florida losing put SC back in the division race. We actually have a manageable schedule left and we have Georgia's number. ??

You're hilarious if you think we were at full strength last year too. And you won 5 years in a row against us idiot, not 6. Didn't come close the 10 that we rattled off against Kentucky between 2000-2009. We'll make it two in a row this year.
