There’s no clear cut #1 on defense, it’s better y’all Bama, Florida, LSU, A&M and maybe another school sneaks in, I know y’all are going off last year but I can’t help but think of that graphic they showed in the LSU game that showed all the freshmen and back up QBs y’all played: Georgia didn’t play many good offenses besides LSU

I actually agree with you.

But it still won’t stop me from saying your offense sucks dick

Usually defense starts strong and offense takes a while to get going

Most teams are a mess. An outbreak within a position group during the season could wreck any teams season so pump the breaks on the shite talking.

Absolutely. (Wait. now you have me thinking. Isn't that what I said????) If that is not what I said...that is what I meant to say. Or maybe I was thinking it and didn't put it in a post? I am an old man and I can't remember nuffin'!

But to your point...you are absolutely correct. defense is reaction and offense requires timing, reads, etc. Those take time.

I think for the most part people are trolling. The Rant has become pretty much one big troll. I am noticing that it seems that more people are coming here for a serious conversation from time to time, though, and that's kind of nice!

The defense returns like 90 percent of its personnel. Nobody can dispute this except women that love to argue you to death...

I agree. I think most people expect our defense to be good this year though, because we did have some really good games. And most of our players we have from last year are coming back and they are all pretty much 4* and 5* players. So, it's logical to expect us to have a great defense. But your point is well taken and that should cool some expectations, too. We did face a lot of QB that were not their teams first choice. now, Trask was probably included in that stat, but he should have been Florida's first choice. I think most Florida fans would agree.

All that said....I'm glad we don't have to face that LSU offense from last season.

but honestly....take the red and black glasses off for a minute. Don't you see his point? It's valid. Do I think we will have a top defense? Yes. Do I think we will have the best defense in the SEC? Possibly and maybe even probably. But what he said is true, too.

I read the opposite.

#1 offense dominated the #2 defense.

#1 offense was a fairly even match for the #1 defense. But the #1 defense got the better of the #1 offense overall.

This is the same result from the 2nd scrimmage as I read in the first (#1 offense having success against the #2 defense, but only having limited success against the #1s).

We've been telling you your offense will be inept this year, but you all have refused to accept it. Even losing your QBs to injury or COVID and you still are blind to this fact.

Well, you'll find out the hard way soon anyway.

I heard that last year too.

Yes. Gator fans have such a great grasp of the UGA program. I've been hearing that the Gators are going to win against us repetitively.

When Cager went down, the offense was inept last year.
The running game never really got going all season.
Dawg fans arent expecting the Patriots offense. Just a few more touchdowns than we got in 2019.

Florida fans should just put this on shirts and hats. Save your breath.

Mind boggling fact on how insanely impotent Gus’s offenses are: Auburn has gone 6 straight years against UGA with a half where they didn’t score a TD. In the majority of those years the no TD streak was even 3+ quarters.

Coach man boobs can’t move the ball against UGA.

Inept is a strong word. I don't believe it will be inept at all. It might not be great, but it should be at least good, and could even be very good at the end fo the season. But inept?
