All members of the campus community (faculty, staff and students) must strictly adhere to the University’s Health and Safety Guidelines. These include the following:

• appropriate use of face coverings
• practicing physical distancing
• restrictions on large social gatherings

Employees who do not follow the guidelines, including wearing a mask, their punishment can result in termination. Organizations can be removed from campus. & Students, after the third violation may result in suspension for up to one year. LINK

EMPLOYEES

CAMPUS RETURN REQUIREMENTS: To work on campus in any capacity (part time or full time), all UA employees, which includes both faculty and staff, must complete COVID-19 testing, COVID-19 training and enroll in the UA Healthcheck. Failure to complete the COVID-19 testing, COVID-19 training or enroll in the UA Healthcheck will result in an employee being sent home without pay. If that employee does not complete the COVID-19 testing, COVID-19 training and enroll in the UA Healthcheck after three business days, the employee’s employment will be terminated. Termination of a faculty member will follow the procedure set forth in the UA Faculty Handbook.

ON-CAMPUS SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: Once an employee returns to work on campus, certain COVID-19 safety measures, such as wearing a face mask, completing the required reports on the UA Healthcheck, physical distancing, etc., must be followed. If an employee fails to follow the on-campus safety requirements, the following progressive discipline by a supervisor will apply:

FIRST VIOLATION — Verbal counseling

SECOND VIOLATION —Written counseling

THIRD VIOLATION —Final warning and a three-day unpaid suspension

FOURTH VIOLATION —Termination of employment

Considering the way people act when you ask them nicely to wear a mask?

What exactly is the issue? Four chances to abide by your employer's rules seems pretty fair to me.

unless you are protesting or looting the cafeteria.

This is no different than having a dress code. If you can't follow the rules your boss tells you too, you're fired. Pretty simple

I’d be looking for another job.

Here’s UAHealthcheck:

Grooming the young generation for Covi-Pass(tm)

And if you don’t know what Covi-pass is, look into it. It’s straight 1984 bs and links to your favorite virus expert Bill Gates.

Makes sense. Plenty of Karens around waiting for the opportunity to post a pic online of folks not wearing masks. Cannot have your coach wasting all his time dealing with press or parents bitching about masks.

When do we see the "Alabama Hammer" trying to find clients who claim long term breathing problems from having to wear a mask all day at work ?

We're still in this mess because people didn't wear masks.

So thank them for this. Just wear a god damn mask when you're around people. I don't understand why it's so difficult. The people that refuse just look like whiny children that pitch a fit until they get what they want.

frickING WEAR A MASK.

This analogy is kind of weak

Smoking is voluntary, breathing is not.

Well that seems like an insanely oversimplified view
