I'm glad he did.

Yea, I agree!
But if Arkansas wanted Kiffin, then Kiffin would be coaching Arkansas now, like he wanted.

Your AD whiffed on multiple candidates. Pittman was the last resort.

Good! Because nothing makes a 1-9 season more palatable than a super likable guy who just loves the university to death!!

Is it true Kiffin doesn’t even have a house in Oxford yet? The hype over a guy who has been fired from two of his three high profile HC jobs is astounding to me.

2012 USC team. Ranked number 1 to unranked. That is worse than Nutt.

Better than 0-10 with a playboy who'll leave at the drop of a hat,or panties,or whatever.

lol, moron. That team was under sanctions.

Yeah, again, if Matt Luke beat your abysmal team then Kiffin is going in dry.

Yeah, who the hell would want a guy that engineered one of Bama’s most prolific offenses ever, won a natty and coached two Heisman trophy winners? frick that! Give me the obese offensive line coach with no head coaching experience!!!!

Moron? The 2011 team was 10-2 and finished ranked sixth in the AP poll. The 2012 team was the first year that were eligible for post season play. That team returned 18 players and 13 made all conference. First team since the 64 Ole Miss team to go number 1 to unranked. Now that is something to be proud of.

Dude,no one wants your coach.
No matter how bad you wish it.
But he won't be there long,so you have that.

8 months later and Arky fans are still in denial that Kiffin laughed at their offer. Amazing
I’m not trying to get into this argument because the Pittman hire was fricking stupid and I still want Kiffin but this is not what happened. We had an agreement with Kiffin, then Ole Miss opened up and y’all came calling, Jimmy Sexton tried to use this as leverage to get more money from Arkansas (where Kiffin truly wanted to be), Arkansas called the bluff and revoked the offer (fricking stupid), leaving Sexton and Kiffin with their dicks in their hand and having to take the Ole Miss job that paid less than the original Arkansas offer.
So basically Arkansas botching shite fricked us both, we got a fat Oline coach and y’all got a coach who doesn’t want to be there (dude refuses to buy a house in Oxford lol and refuses to recruit).

Ur dumb. I just hope you can accept the reality that we got the better coach when it all plays out.

Solid argument.
We did not, we hired a lifetime o-line coach with no experience. You’ve just convinced yourself that it was a good hire because that’s what fans are supposed to do. We are fricked. We will be looking for a new coach in 2 years after Pittman goes 0-10 this year and maybe wins 2 the next year.

I disagree. Why take a failed retread or another high school coach when we got someone who can bring in top assistants and recruit and understand what SEC talent is.
We brought in Danny Ford, who won a natty, and he crashed and burned. We brought in Pertino, who literally crash and burned.
We tried two other coaches who didn't understand the SEC.
Sam knows the SEC,I'm willing to see what he can do.

1-9 is a bit optimistic don’t you think?

If we fire another coach after only 2 years we’d be lucky to even get a college position coach interested in the job next time. And then fans would be mad we hired them, and the cycle repeats itself.
Ole Miss fans calling Pittman obese is pretty ironic considering what Kiffin looks like now. And a monkey could do well as an OC at Alabama. Guess we’ll see but the flashy hire doesn’t always work out, which is why Scott Frost has been a huge disappointment at Nebraska. I would imagine Kiffin has a ton of negative recruiting material that could be issued against him at this point in his career kinda like Petrino now after burning bridges at multiple places.
