I love how that is viewed as a negative for Ole Miss when it actually is celebrated by fans now. I'm thrilled that it happened

“I’m glad a bad thing happened to my team because it led to a good thing happening” is the most chicken shite, boring version of smack talk in sports. I hate the implication that individual games and moments don’t matter, only the resulting outcome that came with it.
LSU fans could say, “I’m glad LSU lost to Wisconsin, it led to us firing Miles” but what’s the fun in that? It sucked arse to lose that game.
I also hate when bowl games are referred to as exhibition games. Since when do individual games not matter?
