Let's just say that if having your education and living expenses paid for and being treated like a God your entire time in college is being oppressed I sure hope my kids have to face such oppression. I don't give a frick what they name the building or if they decide to change it but please give me some of that treatment they got in college

I know your post is about Calhoun, but the Tillman stuff is related.
There are times where we hold people from the past to unrealistic standards that are only widely accepted in the present.
This is 100% not the case with Tillman. That a-hole was a monster by any era’s standards. I am the furthest thing from an SJW you’ll find but the fact that Clemson still has that prick’s name on their campus is mind blowing.

Without John C. Calhoun, Clemson University doesn't exist. The Fort Hill property that he left to his children is where Clemson is now located.

An arrest in 2014 doesn't mean it was a drug related death, the same for all the Coaches that are under fire for making racist stmts in the last decade doesn't mean they should be fired in 2020
I understand the situation with the coaches making bad stmts, but you're hell bent that this was a drug related crime with no proof at all

And if you don't think Hopkins and Watson would have thrived in Spurrier's offense, you're kidding yourself. They basically would have thrived at any school that didn't run the triple option.
