Dang didn't think about North Carolina. But now that I think about it, it was likely NC. If it was around here it would be on the local news.

On the same type subject but less craziness (at least for now), there’s a protest going on in Conway now. I just sorta happening upon it 45 or so minutes ago. There was a lot of folks up ahead of where I was— the cops had us turn off.

There were some where we were I guess walking to catch up with the crowd including a black woman yelling about people err actually ‘mother frickers in cars being there when they knew what was going on’, I had no idea but whatever, then there was a chubby white boy with bright blue shaggy hair, and 3 whites girls in a car screaming black lives matter. From what I could see it looked like people were just marching down Harkrider and were peaceful, hopefully it stays that way.

Black lady, fat white person with dyed hair and three white chicks. Yep that’s a 2020 protest for sure.

I haven’t watched a lot of the coverage but I thought the exact same thing.

We are blessed up here. The extent of the protests were nothing more than people standing on the corners with signs. They were holding their signs with one hand because the other was busy messing with their phones. Not even social justice can overcome the pull of social media. Nothing compared to the mess they got in little rock. Vandalism, reporters getting screamed at, interstates being blocked, tear gas.....I'm sure it might get a little bit more hairy if things aren't resolved by the time students get here but Fayetteville stays pretty peaceful. Honestly, compared to the other places the entire state of Arkansas is pretty darn quiet. I guess there is benefits to living in a place "with nothing to do" as some city slickers say.

Was that directed towards Chicago gangs?
Or is it okay for blacks to kill blacks?

Conway

Conway PD dispersed the protesters with tear gas after the protesters threw water bottles at the officers.

Overall, the protests and police responses were pretty mild in Arkansas compared to other states.

And just like that, coronavirus and Joe Biden's "you ain't black" comment was out of the news.

Heard plenty of folks also preaching this at the rally that was here. The two aren't mutually exclusive.

from a LEO friend:

98% were great and reasonable, a few were there obviously to escalate and had to be dealt with. Another group showed up later that without a doubt wasn't there to protest peacefully but were dispersed without much of a problem. Expecting more tonight.

Bentonville got a little rowdy - tear gas and protest over confederate monument. Time to get rid of the eyesore anyways.

ADD: Maybe the tuba was just too much
