As a matter of fact, I was wondering. It always surprises me when the son of an NFL player makes it in the sport, too. I get that they grew up around the sort and players and have a better understanding of what it takes to succeed in that sport, but physical talents don't necessarily transfer from generation to generation.
At any rate...thanks for sharing and congrats to Florida!

Job Kitna is a great dude. He’s helped out his community big time. Hopefully his son is the same kind of person.

Is it just me or does Florida appear to bring in a lot of these kids who’s dads played in the league?

Genetics. Kids of professional athletes are probably 100x more likely to grow up to be high level athletes than the kids of regular people.

They already have a 4 star QB committed.

Interesting. I guess the probability is higher.

Cant help themselves
They been playing 3* all over D last 2 yrs
With these last 2 classes I'm elated with the upgrade we made
They dont even know the players Mac was taking 5-7 bums every class. Most of em left cuz they never woulda saw the field
Might finally have 50 or so legit players
Of course theirs will be too legit according to rankings
I'm just glad to have quality depth its been nonexistent the last 2 yrs

A lot of the ones that Florida ends up with are not future stars themselves. It's guys who are already maxed out physically (Pop keeping them in the gym) that come in to be a rotational player or bench warmer.
The best asset of these guys is that they are, almost to a man, rock solid clubhouse glue and tireless students of the game, so they make your team better off the field.

Interesting thought... it’s like a breeding program or something. I mean essentially their ancestors were once “Regular people” also. I would also give credit to nature vs nurture debate here. While I agree athleticism is genetic being given every opportunity to have that success sure helps also. Money, training, good schools, high exposure, etc... Tom Rinaldi doesn’t like those stories as much

I hope the genetics theory is right, if so we should be good on running backs for years to come thanks to Travis Henry.

You know you're getting old when players you remember playing in the NFL start having kids going to play college/pro
