um, check it out. LSU beat 5 of the top 8 teams, as ranked at the END of the season.

They already crushed every Big 8 team.
The playoffs would have been:
NEB vs UT
NW vs UF
Uf had already crushed UT 62 - 37 earlier in the year. And they barely got past UK, Vandy, and UGA. They weren't beating Nebraska.
NW had 3 x 1 score wins and lost to Miami (OH)
We saw what happened to UF.
I think they are the heavy favorite in a Big 8 CCG and any of the CFP possible matchups.
But, that's all speculation. So, who knows.
I think LSU 2019 has an extraordinary argument for the best team/season all time. But, you have to admit that there are other strong arguments out there that keep it from being a certainty.
None of that takes away from LSU and how special their season was for so many.
I'm a huge LSU fan. Loved last year for any variety of reasons. It was well deserved and overdue for a great school and fan base.
In turn, I cannot frickin' stand Nebraska. There are some fun things to do in Omaha and Lincoln, but their fans suck. Loud, brash, narrowminded group that think they are superior to all things SEC. And, since the Dubose to Saban yr 1 Bama fans, I've never seen a group so focused on the past.
