We all know as sports fans for some reasons the pain of losses stick with us longer than the joy of victory. Why do yall think that is?

Most people hate losing more than they like winning.

I think pain always sticks with us and affects us more than joy of winning.
Schools like Alabama probably don’t even care all that much that they win so often as the W’s probably all bleed together. Schools like yours and ours remember exactly where we were, how specific plays went down etc because it’s a rare occurrence
My .02 anyway

Kick Six in east Alabama was awful. It ended so fast. You walk outside having no clue what just happened and the neighbors are shooting guns off.
Also, I was in BDS for the Cam-Back by the Auburn band. Barn band playing reverse Rammer Jammer will always rank near the bottom of losing moments in Bryant Denny.
Not many regular season wins stick out as much as those two losses.

"What could have been".
It's because we are inherently greedy.

I get over losses very quickly. Must be that lifetime of being a MN sports fan.

Well for some of us, the former outweighs the latter by like 90%
My life is a blur of heartbreaking losses

With anything...the negative always outweighs the positive...

Because it’s been 40 years

It's because people expect to win. Losing is more shocking even when you're the underdog.

With a win, you clear the table---a loss
and you leave something on it you can't get
back.

They don't for me.
2012 @ LSU for example is more firmly planted into my memory than the 2010 came back game.

Refgate @Auburn 2006 is an abomination that I will never get over.
