Are you really trying to pretend he didnt decline in the second half of his time at LSU?
Shula's worst was 4-9
Dubose's worst was 3-8
You might think this is bad but trust me, it's nothing compared to Shula and Dubose.

I didnt say it was "as bad", my point is that Bama fans want to say its all on previous coaches for their losses to LSU in the early 2000s then they bring up the streak, most of which happened under a previous coach.
Kinda hypocritical.

Miles won a national title, had multiple SEC titles along with multiple national title game appearances.
For some reason, a large portion of our TD fanbase doesn't want to acknowledge this and thinks he was an awful coach. I'm not saying anyone in this thread is saying that, but it's most certainly true overall.

Not really because Alabama 2000-2007 dealt with more bullshite, sanctions, coaching changes, coaching scandals and all else. That's why LSU went 2003-2007 without losing to Alabama.
Since then (Alabama with Saban), LSU is 4-10 against Alabama. You can blame that on Miles. That's weak.

He wasnt awful but unlike O, he failed to see his weakness and adapt with changing times.
He had multiple clock issues at LSU that cost us at least the Ole Miss game.
He also didnt adapt to the changing offensive landscape as Saban did which ultimately cost Miles his job.

Saban is definitely the greatest coach in NCAA history.
Miles didnt help himself any but failing to adapt to changing times.

Miles was/is this most frustrating coach to have as your coach that I can think of. He was a very good coach that did a lot of good for LSU, but just did stupid shite sometimes that cost us games.

He was good enough to keep LSU "competitive" year in and year out but bad enough to never win anything of significance after the one championship.
21-0 can be laid directly at his feet.

No lie the 2003 Alabama/LSU game (Alabama lost 27-3, worst home loss I can remember in a while), me and my dad bought tickets from Brodie Croyle's dad on the street in front of Bryant Denny for face value. I've got the ticket signed/personalized by John Croyle in my Alabama scrap collection
Alabama ended that season 4-9 with a season ending loss at Hawaii. I'm not about that bandwagon life.

If Miles had stayed and was still Coach at LSU, the LSU offense would have failed to score against Alabama again in 2019 and beyond. He was never going to change the offense, never going to compete again with the top teams, and that’s why he’s gone.
At least Orgeron forced the change needed. It took a couple of seasons, but he knew it had to be done or he’d be gone too. Unlike Les, he addressed the problem instead of just hiring another OC that he was going to overrule and call plays anyway.

If Alabama hadn't turned to Tua, would O have pivoted?

It’s not a bad question, but Alabama was shutting out LSU before Tua. It’s more the offensive philosophy change than just one player.
Bama had adapted, LSU had not.

After yesterday O decided they could take a month off.
