Marc opted to sign late. Choosing between Ole Miss and Florida. Ole Miss seems confident. What are Florida fans hearing?

Don't think the standards at UF are any different than OM. As stated below, UF may not be willing to chance it while OM is but implying it's harder to get into UF than OM is disingenuous.
Who's to say OM let's him sign immediately? They'd lose the spot same as anyone else if he fails to qualify.

How can Florida even take anyone else in their 2020 class?
They've had 10 recruits enroll already, 13 more that are signed, 2 more hard commits (Obviously Britt is one), and then SIX transfers, even without the 2 hard commits (Britt being one) that's 29 guys in their class for sure already

It’s not that the standards are different. I read that it has something to do with losing a counter if he signs and doesn’t make it in. So they would just rather hold off.

If you start counting all this shite, you should know the rules on how they count for which class and initial counter BS.
The numbers works itself out.

I'm well aware of the rule, can UF even back count 6 guys if they wanted to to take 31? That's what it would take to bring all these guys in. I have no idea what UF actually enrolled in years previous to 2019, which looks to be 22 there, in theory leaving at least 3 open spots to back count.

It's not whether or not UF is a better school academically, which they are, but it's the fact that Ole Miss is more willing to take a grade risk on someone of his talent level, as opposed to UF, who for the most part recruits well

It’s a transition class so OM has to take some chances. Not much to lose at this point.

The admission standards for normal students and scholarship athletes are not remotely the same

I am aware, I was just saying that it doesn't really matter how good of a school UF is compared to Ole Miss, because athletes aren't held up to the same standards academically as regular students. It's kinda weird to say "he doesn't have the grades to make it into Florida", when in reality, the majority of the team probably doesn't.

Oh? So he should qualify at Vandy then? Most schools adjust their standard to accommodate athletes, with varying departures from the admission criteria for non-athletes.

You realize that comparing Vandy and Florida is like comparing apples and oranges. That is laughable
