Replay of auburn @ mizzou is on at the place I’m eating. Mizzou students look so nerdy, actually the whole crowd. Just a bunch of nerdy honkys. Why is college basketball this way?

Makes sense. SJWs are either nerdy dudes, trannys, or chicks that don’t shave their armpits. Or all three.

Cause its a sport even the nerds played growing up and like to go to the games, which only last 2 hours, so they can get back to their studies faster....duh

I know when I was in school at Alabama over a decade ago, basketball games were somewhat shunned by the fraternity and sorority crowd. And that was with top 15 type teams under Gottfried. It wasn't so much that greek students didn't like basketball. It was more of a cultural thing. The fraternities were used to the block seating and all weekend festivities associated with football games and basketball games were dominated by the independent students who took all of the good seats by getting there early and joining Mark's Madness, etc. Greek students just are not going to paint their bodies or wear crazy outfits to basketball games. I would assume that same type of culture exists at most SEC schools besides Kentucky.

As you know, ours are usually drunk and rowdy.

Love our students. We’re the biggest bunch of fair weather fans but I fricking love it - doesn’t make us any less passionate. I’d argue it makes us more so.

He’s Alabama basketball’s “super fan” student. I appreciate his support but he’s all about being seen since this:

They’d definitely put quite the scare into even the most hardened Russian football hooligans

Also, that nerd in the middle is smiling. And also that other nerd behind him. And the nerd next to that nerd.
For fricks sake, get on the same page, Bama ultras

quote:Its first come first serve for student basketball seating. They have to enter a lottery earlier in the week to see if they are even eligible to get a ticket. Then if their number is picked, how good a seat in the student section you get is dictated by how early you get in line at the student entrance at Rupp.

At least that is how it worked in my day there. With apps and such now it could all have changed. Im mid 30s....maybe one of the other UK fans on here is younger and more up to date on that.
As for the Greek culture block seating, thats more the case for UK football student section. Groups of 10 or 20 or whatever will just take a chunk of student bleachers.

Mark Fox had to make yearly rounds to chapter to try and hype up Greek life for the basketball season. Such an awkward speaker

I never attended a single basketball game while I was in school. None of my friends every really wanted to go... We'd just hang out in the house, watch the game on TV, and keep drinking if it was a weekend game.

This thread is fricking retarded lmao you gotta be kidding me
Your student section - cool, drunk, and fun
Mizzou students section - Nerdy honkeys
I can't believe your student section is SO WILD that they actually DRINK ALCOHOL before the game?? As a current MU student, I can't even fathom doing such a thing before a basketball game. Usually, I like to play scrabble and protest social issues before the game?? gtfoh
The two are literally doing the exact same shite, watching the same sport. The only difference is that you deep throat yours because... well, it's yours.
