So we fended off LSU from stealing Burch from us.What do you think we gave him? Just a bag? Momma a new job? A New job and Car?

I’m sure the family was well-compensated, just like they would’ve been at any major school.
I wouldn’t say you took him from LSU...more like you fended off LSU from taking him from you. Kid wants to play locally, good for him.

I know one highly recruited DL in the 80's supposedly kept the bag we gave him but signed with SC and got a car.

I’ve heard from a good source how South Carolina got Marcus Lattimore, and it’s an amazing story. I know it’s a different regime and all that, but hopefully the same boosters still control stuff to a certain degree.
