I mean, not really. At least not IMO. He’s never going to play, and Will went to Georgia. It’s not like he despises the university.

I highly doubt Will let’s his son sign with UGA as some sort of secret package deal just so UGA can steal his #1 recruit

I think it’s far more likely that Will and Kirby are still good friends and Will trusts Kirby coaching his son. Probably figures his son can get himself a ring or two out of being at UGA versus USCe. Plus, it’s better than having your kid halfway across the country. It’s not like he can’t afford to pay the tuition.

Given the fact that Boom has no idea where he's going to be coaching in 2021. This is an insurance / friendship move.

Good move on everyone's part. Muschamp and family are all Georgia people. Good for the kid. Better than going a long way from home and Will can afford the out of state tuition.
