He received that Auburn bump down. If he would’ve committed to the turds, he’d still be a 5*.

Had nothing to do with AU. By most accounts, including Jason Caldwell who is a pretty big homer when it comes to AU targets & commits, said he didn't play like a 5* last season. I completely understand Lee pulling out of this season but it's a shame because he apparently had gotten his butt in gear, gotten in great shape, & was primed for a big season which could have been good for his development.

At this point I would be surprised if Orr ended up in the class.

Don't see Orr in this case after what unfortunately happened last week.

Not sure. KN said over the weekend that Orr was down the board a bit still. Staff likes Diego Pounds but he’s trending to Penn State.
And we seem like long shots for Mims and Byrd. Just going on process of elimination with this prediction. I actually like Tucker FWIW

What happened with him? From what I saw people are being hush hush about whatever it is.

Accidentally shot and killed the kid from UAB. I feel terrible for him.. on top of having all the pressure of picking a school, playing this season etc. he has that to deal with mentally.. I imagine he's having a hard time right now.

Yep, unfortunate situation all the way around. I think they might have been cousins too, but I'm not positive on that. Hope the kid has someone he can lean on and talk to though.

Poster on rivals boards says the Malcom Johnson addition to 2020 class moves us up to 7th in nation and 5th in SEC according to 247.

Lol. That's where were already ranked in the composite. We were ahead of Texas at 274.39 before factoring in MJJ. After 247 gives him a composite rating for 2020 class we will stay 7th in the composite barring a big surprise bump by 1 of the other 2 sites. 247 only gave him a rating of 93 & ranked 158 overall.

Thanks for the heads up. I’m not going to do a preseason thread this year. Much like the season, just wing it as we go along.

Good to see Caddy not resting on his laurels. Was worried about his lack of SEC recruiting experience but the way it sounds he's doing everything in his power to get AU back to RBU standards.

Tank 1st year
Armoni 2nd year
Emmanuel Henderson 3rd year (AU the leader)
Richard Young 4th year (AU the leader)

That would be in order the national #4, #5, #1, and #1 running backs.

Agreed. Caddy has been awesome for us. A good guy that came from a blue collar town that had the steel plant and Goodyear factory.

Gotta show we put out a better OL if we want to get guys like Henderson and Young.

We already lead for both. But I get what you are saying. If OL comes up just point to the NFL running backs Gus has put in the NFL. We concentrate way to much on the negative and not near enough on the positive. Even with poor OL recruiting we have still had 2 SEC POY running backs since 2013. Like I have been saying if we can get just some elite talent at WR and CB we will be right there playing for championships each year. If we don't we will continue to have runs about twice every 10 years.
