We sent him to a re-education camp where he will be learning the actual meaning of words and will also learn to not post on heavy flow days.

FWIW, that’s a 5* DT in each of the last 2 classes. And he helped produce the best defense in UGA history.

You just had to watch Carter to know he'd likely end up in the top 32 kids in the country. I thought Tate would end up a 5* as well.
Either way, there isn't a position on the field that UGA doesn't recruit well.

I often wonder how hypersensitive doomsayer’s operate on a day to day basis in the real world? Do they focus it all on their favorite sports team or does it encompass their entire being?

Is he the best DL coach we could have? No.
Has he missed on lots of priority targets? Yes.
Did he need Fountain, Kirby, and others to take over recruiting on several key guys this cycle, including Jalen Carter? Yes.
Has his unit produced on the field this year? Yes.
The bottom line is that I still feel we would be better long term with a more proven coach for that spot, but I am happy that he produced a better on field product this year than expected.
His recruiting lags behind his peers on our staff, but under Kirby we will bring in talent at every position. Going in to 2020 we are very thin on the DL, and need some good injury luck and maybe a grad transfer to maintain elite talent AND depth.

That all may be true, but you should never fire a coach unless you have to. Bad for the team, bad for recruiting, and there’s no guarantee the new coach is better.
